Template:System The Nintendo Switch is a Nintendo hybrid console. It is a tablet with detachable controllers, known as Joycons, and can be played on a television through an included charging dock using HDMI. It is the first Nintendo console with a multi-touch screen, a capture button, and an Nvidia hardware architecture. It was revealed on October 20, 2016 and released on March 3, 2017 globally.[1]

The Nintendo Switch was announced on March 17, 2015, where it was originally known by its code-name the Nintendo NX.[2]
