As can be inferred, the Waterfall Rapids consists of several freshwater streams running through narrow channels at high currents, albeit with small reservoirs of stagnant water scattered about. The river flows into a few subterranean caves and gullies, and is riddled with algae and obstructed by rock formations protruding from its bed as well as a large number of roots sprawling from trees on all sides. The entrance atop the Zora Cape leads to a small basin fed by waterfalls located further above the rapids.

Template:Place The Waterfall Rapids are part of the Great Bay region in Majora's Mask. Located high above the ground at the southern tip of Zora Cape, they can only be accessed by using the Hookshot to ascend a series of ledges leading to the top of the nearby waterfall. An empty bottle and a Piece of Heart can be obtained here after completing a racing minigame known as the Beaver Falls Race.

Features

As can be inferred, the Waterfall Rapids consists of several freshwater streams running through narrow channels at high currents, albeit with small reservoirs of stagnant water scattered about. The river flows into a few subterranean caves and gullies, and is riddled with algae and obstructed by rock formations protruding from its bed as well as a large number of roots sprawling from trees on all sides. The entrance atop the Zora Cape leads to a small basin fed by waterfalls located further above the rapids.

Residing within a beaver dam at the edge of the area are the Beaver Brothers, who consider empty bottles to be sacred items.[1] Mikau previously competed against them in the hopes of acquiring one for use in rescuing Lulu's Zora Eggs from the Gerudo Pirates, but to no avail. When Zora Link first enters the rapids, the younger of the two brothers mistakes him for the recently deceased guitarist of the Indigo-Go's and concede to a rematch.[2] As such, Link can also attempt to obtain a bottle through successfully completing the Beaver Falls Race obstacle course. One of the two brothers will lead the way through a series of rings, all of which Link must swim through in the correct order and within the set time limit of 2:00 in order to claim victory. The first to challenge him is the younger brother, and his course features a total of 20 rings; after his defeat, the elder brother will also compete against Link and his race includes an additional 5 rings, adding up to a total of 25. Once both lose to Link, they acquiesce to his request for an empty bottle.

A Piece of Heart can also be earned through a subsequent playthrough of the Beaver Falls Race during the same three-day cycle. The rules are the same, except that the time limit has been shortened to 1:50 for both races (a ten second decrease with respect to the original obstacle course).
