It is implied that this village is an older Kakariko Village, the ancient village of the Sheikah, mostly due to a sign saying "Welcome to Old Kakarico" in Hylian (with the misspelling likely a mistake). It is also suggested Impaz is the last remaining Sheikah in Hyrule. She may also be a descendant of the Impa the Sage, hence the name similarities.
It is implied that this village is an older Kakariko Village, the ancient village of the Sheikah, mostly due to a sign saying "Welcome to Old Kakarico" in Hylian (misspelling noted).
Another factor that makes it clear that Hidden Village is Ocarina of Time's Kakariko is the fact that in Link's Crossbow Training, the 'Kakariko Shootout' stage takes place in Hidden Village, and is essentially a replication of the Hidden Village Bulbin scene from Twilight Princess.

However, these similarities are all outweighed by the facts supporting that Ocarina of Time's Kakariko is in fact the same Kakariko Village from Twilight Princess. Both are directly east of Hyrule Castle, both are adjacent to Death Mountain, both are open to the public, whereas the Hidden Village was kept secret, both have Graveyards, and both have what appears to be the Bottom of the Well. Also, the Impa seen in Ocarina of Time was, as she directly quoted, "born and raised" in Ocarina of Time's Kakariko Village, whereas the Hidden Village was said to have been built by her. It is most probable that a predecessor of the Impa seen in Ocarina of Time built the Hidden Village, instead of the Impa seen in Ocarina of Time. This is logical, as there have been many characters by the name of "Impa" in Hyrule's history. All of these factors prove that the Hidden Village is not in fact the same Kakariko Village seen in Ocarina of Time, and the Hidden Village's creation predates Ocarina of Time.

The Hidden Village is a location in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. When Link first visits the town, it is occupied by 20 Bulblins which he must kill. The only other resident of the village is an old woman named Impaz, who has a connection to Ilia.

Most of the buildings in the village are abandoned and ruined by the Bulblins, and only Impaz's house is still fit for residence. There is a Howling Stone located behind a house, and after it is saved, the village is also filled with cats and a single Cucco.

Trivia

 • In Link's Crossbow Training, the 'Kakariko Shootout' stage takes place in Hidden Village, and is essentially a replication of the Hidden Village Bulbin scene from Twilight Princess.
 • Impa as seen in Ocarina of Time was, as she directly quoted, "born and raised" in Ocarina of Time's Kakariko Village, whereas the Hidden Village was implied to have been built by her.

Theory

It is implied that this village is an older Kakariko Village, the ancient village of the Sheikah, mostly due to a sign saying "Welcome to Old Kakarico" in Hylian (misspelling noted).
