The Sanctum is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(BotW | TotK | HWAoC)[1][2][3]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Sanctum is the highest structure in Hyrule Castle. On Link's Map, it is marked as the location of Calamity Ganon. Zelda has been holding him back within his Cocoon in the Throne Room, which is located on the first floor of the Sanctum, for the past 100 years.[4] By entering the Throne Room, the final battle against Calamity Ganon will begin.

One Korok Seed Puzzle is located in the Sanctum. Leaves with Fairy Dust can be found at the end of the spire on top of the Sanctum. When Link interacts with them, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed.[5]

Related Quests

After luring Link to the Sanctum, Ganondorf summons two waves of Phantom Ganons as a boss. During the fight, the first floor of the Sanctum, the Throne Room, can be seen in pristine condition. Link is able to fight off the Phantom Ganons with the aid of the Sages, but the Demon King escapes after taunting them with a vision of his planned invasion of Hyrule.

The room returns to its original state after the battle ends.
