"Slated for Upgrades" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview
During the "Locked Mementos" Main Quest, Purah will ask Link to gather some Ancient Materials for her after he sees Impa.[2] She says he can deliver them to either her or Robbie and promises him "something good" in return.[3] This begins the Side Quest.
When Link speaks to Purah again for more information,[4] she explains that in exchange for Ancient Materials, she will power up the Runes on his Sheikah Slate.[5] The prices are as follows:

Once Link returns to the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, Purah asks him if he has the ancient Materials.[9] When he confirms that he does, Purah will allow him to power up one of his Runes.[10][note 1] If Link agrees, Purah asks him to choose which one he wants to upgrade.[12] She will remove the lock on the Guidance Stone,[13] which will then enhance his Runes.[14][15][16]
After all of the Runes have been upgraded,[17] Purah will state that, with Link's Sheikah Slate and swordsmanship, there is nothing to fear.[18] She believes that he will now be able to defeat Calamity Ganon,[19] and the Side Quest will be completed.
