Overview

Sages at LoZ.com are a special usergroup, denoted by a gold username and a banner in signatures, comprising all members known to have been a member of LoZ.com's forums for 2 or more years.

History

The Sages have existed on LoZ.com for an unknown number of years, but before their current incarnation, they were the board's most prestigious members. While they did not have moderator power, to be a member of the Sages was the utmost honor that could be bestowed. The old board description likened the Sages to the Illuminati, like a secret society of intellectuals. Moderators were not guaranteed Sage-status, and a few moderators at the time the group was re-purposed were not Sages.

On August 20th, though, the Sages and the Oldies did a sort of role reversal. Both groups served as role-model groups in some capacity, but the Sages were the "cream of the crop", so to speak. With the creation of the Sheikah, the Sages officially became the group solely for those with long memberships, and the Sheikah became the role-model group. Both have time requirements, but the time required to be a Sage is over twice as long as that required to become a Sheikah.

Sages enjoy a private forum designated only for them, called "The Chamber of Sages".
