The Legend of Zelda
As a variant of the Bubble, Red Bubbles are animated Skulls that appear in the Second Quest of The Legend of Zelda.[2] They can be found in Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, Level 7, Level 8, and Level 9. Like Bubbles, they move in erratic patterns and are invincible to all attacks. Instead of inflicting damage to Link upon contact like other enemies, Red Bubbles Curse Link upon contact, disabling his ability to use his Sword. The only way for Link to dispel the Curse is by touching a Blue Bubble, drinking a Life Potion, or visiting a Great Fairy in the Overworld. Unlike other Bubbles, the Curse will not end if Link uses the Flute. For this reason, Blue Bubbles are often found near Red Bubbles.
Ocarina of Time
In Ocarina of Time, Red Bubbles are animated Skulls surrounded by red Fire. They leap out of pits or from the lava of the Death Mountain Crater and the Fire Temple, bouncing around in an attempt to hit Link and set him aflame. They often appear at ledges that Link must jump across in an attempt to hit him as he jumps. Link can defend himself with a Shield to knock the Red Bubble back.[3]
Majora's Mask
What?! You don't know about the Red Bubble? If it comes at you, get in the defensive position to bounce it back...Got it?
Red Bubbles appear as animated Skulls surrounded by red Fire in Majora's Mask. They often leap out of pits of lava inside the Snowhead Temple and attempt to hit Link and set him aflame. Link can knock out their flames and leave them vulnerable by defending himself with a Shield.[4]

In The Wind Waker, Red Bubbles are floating Skulls surrounded by curling red Flames. Red Bubble fly around at their own leisure, but immediately chase after Link when they spot him, attempting to catch him on Fire. Their Fire serves as a protective barrier that shields them from Link's attacks. These flames, however, can be blown away with the Deku Leaf, causing the Red Bubble to lose all power as it falls to the ground as a regular skull, where it can be attacked normally.[5] They can also be shot down with the Hero's Bow as well. Red Bubbles appear in the Tower of the Gods and Ganon's Tower. They can also be summoned by Wizzrobes.
