"Koko Cuisine" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview
Link's help with Koko's last Side Quest, "Cooking with Koko" opens up this next problem. Once he speaks to her at the Cooking Pot, Koko decides to make her father Dorian's favorite dish, Tough Meat-Stuffed Pumpkin.[2] However, when she goes over her ingredients, she realizes she is missing Raw Meat.[3] Though using a different type of meat is an option, her mother's recipe specifically calls for Raw Meat.[4] Since Dorian has been working so much lately, he has not been able to hunt for Raw Meat for his family.[5]
Koko becomes sad, saying she is a bad daughter who can not do anything right and can never be like her mother.[6] Should Link comfort her instead of offering assistance, Koko will sink further into a self-imposed depression.[7] However, if Link offers her Raw Meat without any his Inventory, Koko will be able to tell he is lying.[8] When she finishes talking to Link, the Side Quest begins.
Raw Meat is dropped by three different types animals, those being Woodland Boars, Mountain Goats, and Grassland Foxes. There is also a merchant who travels near the Dueling Peaks, Mezer, who sells Raw Meats.
When spoken to again, Koko is busy beating herself up for forgetting another important ingredient.[9] Once Link offers her Raw Meat, Koko makes sure he is alright with her taking it before starting to cook before asking him to wait.[10]
Koko is pleased with the result and offers Link some of the meal as a reward.[11][note 1] Koko declares that she will continue to improve, ending the Side Quest.[13]
