Green Rupees,(ALttP | LADX | OoT | MM | OoS | OoA | FS | TWW | FSA | TMC | TP | PH | ST | SS | ALBW | TFH | BotW | TotK | SSBB)[1][2][3][4][5][name references needed] also known as Green Rubies,(TFoE | TWoG)[name references needed] are a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series. Green Rupees go unnamed in Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, Ancient Stone Tablets, Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, StreetPass Mii Plaza, Hyrule Warriors, and Mario Kart 8.

The Wind Waker



Green Rupees are worth one Rupee. Green Rupees can be found lying along the ground, or obtained by cutting Grass, breaking Rocks or Vases, defeating Enemies, and opening Treasure Chests. In The Wind Waker, Treasure Chart 18 will lead Link to a single Green Rupee. This was changed to a Purple Rupee in The Wind Waker HD.

Four Swords Adventures



Green Rupees only appear in the Navi Trackers game mode exclusive to the Japanese and Korean releases of Four Swords Adventures. In the Pot Shooter Mini-Game, the Links must throw Jars at Green Rupees in order to claim them.

Spirit Tracks

Skyward Sword



Green Rupees are worth one Rupee. Green Rupees can be found lying along the ground and submerged underwater, or obtained by cutting Grass, digging with the Digging Mitts and the Mogma Mitts, striking Rupee Ore, uncovering them from sand with the Gust Bellows, drawing a hexagonal shape on a Goddess Wall,[9] and defeating Enemies. Green Rupees can also be obtained in Thrill Digger. A single Green Rupee will fall out of the Bell atop the Knight Academy if Link hits it or blows on it with the Gust Bellows. Gossip Stones will drop a single Green Rupee when their eyes are pierced with Arrows.

A Link Between Worlds



Green Rupees are worth one Rupee. Green Rupees can be found lying along the ground and submerged underwater, or obtained by cutting Grass, breaking Rocks or Jars, defeating Enemies, striking Rupee Rocks, destroying Rupee Boulders, and opening Treasure Chests. Green Rupees can also be obtained in Fortune's Choice, Rupee Rush, and by hitting certain targets in Octoball Derby. Green Sword Soldiers are prone to dropping Green Rupees upon defeat.

Paintings of Green Rupees can be found along various walls and can be obtained by touching them while Wall Merging. Green Rupee Likes may disguise themselves as Green Rupees sitting on the ground. A single Green Rupee is embedded in Ravio's belt.

Tri Force Heroes



Green Rupees are worth one Rupee. Green Rupees can be found lying along the ground in some Stages or obtained by cutting Grass, destroying Snowballs, breaking Rocks or Jars, dropping Lucky Lobby Balls, defeating Enemies, striking Squiddies, and defeating Bosses. A Green Rupee appears on the Rupee Regalia.

Breath of the Wild



Green Rupees are worth one Rupee. Green Rupees can be obtained by picking up Rocks, breaking Jars and Barrels, breaking metal and Wooden Boxes, striking Blupees, defeating Yiga Footsoldiers and Treasure Octoroks, and scanning amiibo with the amiibo Rune. Green Rupees can also be obtained during the Gut Check Rock Challenge and the Super Gut Check Challenge.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf



Green Rupees appear inside Medli's and Ganon's RVs. They can be purchased for three MEOW Coupons. For 1,200 Bells, Cyrus can change the color of a Green Rupee, turning it into a Blue Rupee, Red Rupee, Gold Rupee, or Silver Rupee.

Green Rupees also appear inside the Hyrulean Treasure, which appear in Ganon and W. Link's homes and RVs.

Mario Kart 8

Green Rupees replace Coins in the Hyrule Circuit course. When obtained, the Coin sound effect is replaced by a Rupee sound effect. Each racer can collect a maximum of 10 Green Rupees to increase their top speed. Racers will lose three Green Rupees if they are hit with an item, crash into a course hazard, or fall off the course. Green Rupees can also be found as items that can be held and activated, granting a total of two Rupees when used.

Hyrule Warriors



Green Rupees appear when Enemies are defeated or Jars are broken.

Bayonetta



While wearing the Hero of Hyrule Costume in the Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions of Bayonetta, Bayonetta will collect Green Rupees instead of Halos.
