The Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda is a Game & Watch system released to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. The size and shape of the unit is similar to a original Game & Watch Wide Screen Model, but with the addition of a cross-shaped d-pad like the one featured in the Zelda Game & Watch and a Full-Color LCD Screen.

Overview

The Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda system was announced during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct.[3] The system includes three games from The Legend of Zelda series: the first The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, and the original Link's Awakening from the Game Boy. All three games also allow for the option to play in terms of English or Japanese (meaning one can play either the NES versions of The Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link or the Famicom versions of the same). The game also includes a remake of the Game & Watch game Vermin, with Link as the playable character instead of Mr. Game & Watch.[4] The game also has a playable clock and interactive timer built into the games, with the clock being themed after The Legend of Zelda and the timer being themed off of The Adventure of Link.[5]
