The Fairy Pool,[1] also known as the Fountain of Life,[2] is a location in The Wand of Gamelon. It is unlocked after completing Hanyu Forest.

Features and Overview

The Fairy Pool is a wooded Fairy Fountain located in the center of Gamelon, situated close to the base of the mountain that Reesong Palace sits on. The Pool was invaded by the Three Witches, who had frozen the fountain and imprisoned its Canteens in an effort to spread their evil. The Witches then use their combined powers to bring darkness over the area, turning it pitch dark.

The Three Witches serve as the only enemies in the area, and are found scattered throughout the Pool. The first Witch is found on a stone wall that leads to the Pool on the right. The last two Witches can be found there, with one of them standing atop a tree branch. After the Three Witches are defeated, they are blown away in a gust of wind and a pair of Fairies are released. In gratitude for her help, the Fairies award Zelda a Life Heart, some Fairy Dust, and Water of Life. Zelda can return here any time afterwards to receive more Water of Life. If she owns a Canteen, the Fairies will fill it with the Water. Rescuing the Fairies also reveals a Triforce Map on the branch. Upon completion of the stage, Gobiyan Ship is unlocked.

Trivia

  • Despite the Three Witches being responsible for the Pool growing dark, it will continue to darken even after they have been defeated.
