Tears of the Kingdom

Eventide Island reappears in Tears of the Kingdom. A Monster Stronghold has been built upon Toronbo Beach North, and Eventide Island Chasm has opened up on Toronbo Beach as a result of the Upheaval, leading down into the Necluda Sea Depths.[4] On the Back of the Island, Eventide Island Cave has formed and become a hideout for the Pirates laying siege to settlements along the shores of the Necluda Sea.[5] Fallen Debris litter the Island, having fallen from the Sky Island patrolled by a King Gleeok in the Sky above.

During the "Seeking the Pirate Hideout" Side Quest, the Monster-Control Crew scout Sesami asks Link to locate and clear out the three Monster Strongholds on Eventide Island.[6]

Trivia

  • With the exception of Cloyne's Treasure Chest mini-game in Lurelin Village, Eventide Island is the only location in Breath of the Wild where Treasure Chests respawn after being opened and looted.
  • With the exception of the Hinox, Monsters on Eventide Island always regenerate once Link leaves the island, regardless of whether or not there has been a Blood Moon. Furthermore, they are not subject to Enemy Progression, which upgrades Monsters based on the number of Monsters that Link has killed. Any Monsters killed on Eventide Island will not add to that counter.[verification needed]
  • Eventide Island and its associated Shrine Quest are a reference to Link's Awakening and Koholint Island.
