Biography

The Minish Cap

Candy is a little girl in The Minish Cap who resides with her family, Emma and Lolly, in Hyrule Town. She is first seen during the Picori Festival, blocking the way forward until Link obtains a Small Shield. She mentions that she has never seen any Minish before.[3] She encircles Link along with the Hurdy-Gurdy Man when he returns from the Deepwood Shrine, extolling the virtues of Kinstone Fusion.[4] After Link obtains the Kinstone Bag, she can be found standing in front of the Fountain with Lolly, asking to see the Minish.[5]

After Vaati impersonates King Daltus, Candy moves to the second floor of the Happy Hearth Inn, where she runs around with Lolly and Zill.[6] Here, Link can Fuse Kinstone Pieces with Candy,[7] causing a shoal to rise in Trilby Highlands; it gives Link access to a Secret Cave once he has obtained the Flippers.

When Link has obtained the Ocarina of Wind, Candy moves to stand outside the newly-opened Chest Mini-Game Shop, bemoaning the fact that she cannot enter.[8] She moves back outside, wandering north of the Fountain, after Link sees the spirit of Gustaf at Lake Hylia. Here, she asks if a Ghost is in the Hyrule Town Well.[9]

Candy moves with her friends to the roof of the Royal Hyrule Library after Link receives a golden Kinstone Piece from Gustaf in the Royal Crypt. By the time Link obtains the Wind Element, she returns to the Happy Hearth Inn and remains there for the remainder of the game.
