The Boat Cruise is an event in Majora's Mask.[1][2]
Location and Rules
The Boat Cruise is a feature around the Southern Swamp exclusive to humans.[3] The tour can only be taken after Link saves the tour guide Koume from the Woods of Mystery.[4] If Link talks to her in the Swamp Tourist Center afterwards, she will give him a free tour and the Pictograph Box.[5] Link can take the tour to reach the Deku Palace when the water is still poisonous. Taking the tour will also defeat the two Big Octos blocking the entrances to the Deku Palace and Woodfall area.
After defeating Odolwa at the Woodfall Temple, instead of a regular Boat Cruise, Koume will offer Link to play a Target Shooting Mini-Game, in which Link must hit targets with his Bow while Koume flies around.[6] If he manages to hit 20 or more Targets without shooting Koume at least 10 times, he will be rewarded with a Piece of Heart. In Majora's Mask 3D, Link is rewarded with a Bottle instead.
The first time Link tries out either the Boat Cruise or the Target Shooting Mini-Game is free. However, each subsequent tour will cost him 10 Rupees.
