Extra Hearts

Big Hearty Radishes are flora that are found in various grassy areas of Hyrule, characterized by their forked and flowering stalk. The vegetable itself cannot be seen until it is picked, as it is a root. As their name implies, Big Hearty Radishes are larger versions of the Hearty Radish.[1]

Big Hearty Radishes can be eaten raw to restore four Hearts. If a Big Hearty Radish is roasted over a Campfire, it becomes a Roasted Big Radish. If a Big Hearty Radish is Cooked in a Cooking Pot, the resulting Food will increase Link's maximum Hearts.[1] At the Kochi Dye Shop, Big Hearty Radishes are one of the ingredients that can be used to make Peach Dye.

Tears of the Kingdom

Big Hearty Radishes are Veggies that can be found growing on Sky Islands. They can also be grown by Uma at the School's Field in Hateno Village, though due to her inexperience in growing them she can only grow two at a time.[4] Big Hearty Radishes are marked by Flowers growing off of them.

They restore all of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge and grant him several additional temporary Hearts when Cooked into Meals.[2] When exposed to Fire or Scorching Climates, they become into Roasted Big Radishes.

As well as being used to Cook any Meals requiring Veggies, either Big Hearty Radishes or Hearty Radishes are required as part of the recipe for Creamy Heart Soups.
