Ash Swamp is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(BotW | TotK)[1][2] Ash Swamp goes unnamed in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Ash Swamp is located in West Necluda. Like the adjacent Blatchery Plain, Ash Swamp is composed of generally flat land with tall Grass and ruined buildings.

During the second Great Calamity, Guardians made their way through Ash Swamp on their way to Fort Hateno.[3] After Link fell in battle to a Guardian in Ash Swamp, Zelda's powers awoke and she destroyed most of the surrounding Guardians.[4] Consequently, several Fallen Guardians litter the Plain and can be searched for Ancient Materials. The events of the Great Calamity can be retrieved in the final Recovered Memory, "Zelda's Awakening", near the southern part of the Swamp.

A stone Treasure Chest containing an Emblazoned Shield can be found beneath a pile of bombable Rocks in the northern section of the Swamp. A second stone Treasure Chest containing a bundle of five Fire Arrows can be found at the center of the Swamp. A third stone Treasure Chest containing a Double Axe can be found at the southeastern section of the Swamp.

Tears of the Kingdom

Ash Swamp reappears in Tears of the Kingdom. The Fallen Guardians littering the Swamp have been cleared. Numerous damaged Trees and Logs can be found surrounding the Water, and it is still covered in ruins. Large Boulders are scattered across the Swamp. Ruins Rubble occasionally fall from the Sky onto the area. An encampment of Constructs can be found next to the northern pond amongst some Fallen Debris.

Addison can be found holding up a Sign on a small rock formation in the south of the Swamp. If Link props up the Sign so that it can stand up on its own, Addison will reward him with a Red Rupee,[5] Sneaky Mushroom Rice Balls,[6] and a Bomb Flower.[7]
