The Wind Waker HD Screenshot

TWW HD.jpg

This image is amazing. It's not only very large and bright, but the colors are vibrant and soft. The realistic shading and reflection effects add to the image. The clouds look beautiful, and so do the detailed textures. You have to look at it in full resolution to see the detail put into the screenshot. There are a series of similar images that are all worthy of being featured, but this one is the best. User:Darkness/sig 16:21, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

  1. This picture IS great! I took a look at the full resolution photo, and everything you said is right! And this is a WiiU remake? If all the Zelda stuff looks this good on the WiiU, we have found ourselves a new major console. Ankazar 16:57, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

  1. It's not a bad shot, but we have no idea if the final game will look anything like this as this is pretty much the earliest we're seeing it. It's also kind of barren looking, as it's just the island with the new HD lighting style and not much else. We have a lot of Wind Waker images already and I much prefer art to screenshots, also. We're bound to get WAY more impressive Wind Waker WiiU images than this one, so it seems like jumping the gun. User:Fizzle/sig 18:25, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
  2. I'm with Fizzle on this one. I think I would personally prefer a high-resolution panoramic screenshot of the original TWW to this, anyway. — Hylian King [*] 22:41, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

  1. I'm not too sure about this one. I think it's a very nice image, especially with the HD style. It's also quite a good panoramic; it's taken at an interesting angle and beautifully depicts such an iconic location. However, it does seem rather unpolished. There aren't any ripples or waves on the sea, making the water appear bland and the shadows of the clouds sharp. Also the glow effect leaves a lot to be desired. Link fighting Armogohma in the Zelda HD Experience

Photo credits to Dany36. I thought this was great, considering that it is unedited, and of a high quality. It is also symbolic, in that this is the opening of a new Zelda era. Vote as you see fit. Ankazar 20:19, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

  1. While the picture is definitely impressive and detailed, the problem is that we don't have any information yet about the graphical style of the game, so I think it is a bit premature to include it at this point. Zeldafan1982 22:54, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
  2. I agree with Zeldafan. It's a cool picture, but it doesn't really strike me as "interesting," considering that we know nothing about the game. Hey, as far we know, this might not even be in the game. Tech demos have a fun way of just throwing together something for the sake of showcasing new stuff. It would be more prudent to wait for actual information about the game.User:Justin/sig 12:55, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
  3. Yeah I agree that it's a bad idea to include beta and preview images; plenty of examples here of the kind of stuff that doesn't make it into final releases, so not the ideal thing to be featuring. User:Adam/sig 14:24, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

  1. Well, I personally don't think that this is "symbolic". The new HD Zelda we know nothing about, so it might be much less realistic. It does, however, show the Wii U's potential, and the image itself is high-quality. Every tiny detail, from the patterns on the torches to the markings on Armogohma's legs, adds contrast to this image. There is an amazing use of shadow and dimension in this image, with every aspect of it standing clearly on a different layer. It's also extremely high resolution.
