Scenery from Skyward Sword

File:SS Scenery .jpg
Skyward Sword scenery

Nintendo has described the graphical style of this game as "a painting coming to life", and who could argue? With its great quality and breathtaking view, this image deserves to be featured. Minda of Darkness 23:35, 22 August 2010

Support
  1. I support it. It'sa really good image to add and I like the art style. - AtrumLevis  (My Talk Page) (My Contributions) 14:53, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
  2. Ooh... pretty. Nice, well-drawn image. I think it seems to do a nice job of representing what we've seen of Skyward Sword thus far. However, the image is somewhat bland, and seems to not have any actual focus. The reason I'm OK with that is because there are no other featured images of just scenery. Alter  {T C B H } 19:21, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
  3. I like how the picture is high quality. This deserves to be featured! --Zeldarules8 19:56, 28 December 2010 (EST)
  4. Yes. Yes. Like Alter stated, we don't have a lot of pictures of just scenery. It's very high quality, and reminds us of the joy of Skyward Sword we are to enjoy. This deserves to be featured! PreludeOfHeroes 21:47, 25 January 2011 (EST)

  1. I have a strong feeling this image is going to end up being "one in a series", given the Cezanne-like landscape artstyle of Skyward Sword. It wouldn't make any sense if this was the only landscape-like piece Nintendo cranks out in the Skyward Sword era because the image work is so brilliant. I'd just rather wait and see than to vote now. — ciprianotalk 19:06, 3 January 2011 (EST)

  1. This image just makes me think about how much I am going to LOVE Skyward Sword. It's a pleasant reminder each time :D (Unsigned vote - see rule 6 above)

Rail Map

File:Rail Map.png
Rail Map from Spirit Tracks

I absolutely love this image. It has such a intense feel to it. I love all the detail it has in it and how ornate it looks. I had looked at the in-game versions of this and I had noticed some of it, but this image simply took my breathe away. It's awe-inspiring and stunning. What more is there to say about this awesome image?User:Matt/sig 04:27, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

  1. The texture of this map is practically tangible. I can picture myself holding the map, running my hand across its heavy relief; the image is so refined and of such impeccable quality. User:Cipriano 119/sig 00:44, 13 September 2010 (EDT)
  2. Awesome! It feels so mysterious and adventurous -- and that is so classically ZELDA!! Really great image. Embyr 75  --Talk-- 10:55, 14 September 2010 (EDT)
  3. This image is extremely high quality, and it's very detailed.User:Mandi/sig 20:24, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
  4. I didn't know this picture existed until now. It is really a good picture, quality wise. Gormanbros 17:16, 20 September 2010 (EDT)
  5. Wow!! I can imagine digging that up from ancient ruins or being a ancient treasure passed down through many Generations, it looks Brilliant!! GFlame 05:00, 30 September 2010
  6. This picture is really detailed, I could just gaze at it for an hour or two. Zeldarules8 08:57, 25 November 2010 (EST)
  7. What some see as "not blending well into the transparency" or "looking choppy" I see texture that makes this picture feel so ancient and realistic, like the map would crumble to the touch. With the newer, higher resolution version uploaded just recently, there's all the more reason to be featuring this. — Hylian King [*] 11:53, 2 February 2011 (EST)
  8. The high resolution picture definitely makes this picture appear much better. It feels to me that I could just take it up from the screen and run my hand across it and feel every groove, bump, and texture on it. I wonder if I do that will make something pop out of it. *laughs*. Well done and well deserved to be a Featured Picture. - AtrumLevis  (My Talk Page) (My Contributions) 10:43, 14 February 2011 (EST)
  9. RAP, you are and continue to be my hero. I was tempted to vote for this before the upgrade, but it was so tiny I just couldn't bring myself to do it. This image is unique and superb, and needs to be shared with the world! User:Adam/sig 16:28, 15 February 2011 (EST)

  1. If opened in full size, this image's sides don't blend well into the transparency and look a little choppy.--TheHK (T) (C) 09:43, 2 November 2010 (EDT)

  1. Heads up! I just uploaded a more hi-res version of the image. Glare and stare...! For those who are about to oppose, or still kept its' position, check the image first! --RAP 00:40, 29 January 2011 (EST)

Kalle Demos

Kalle Demos artwork from The Wind Waker

I love this image. The colors in this image are very vivid and it has a nice resolution and a good transparency. Despite this boss's flamboyant colors, the official art really plays up the shadows and gives it a more ominous feel. User:Mandi/sig 02:46, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Wow, nice. From far away the image doesn't seem that impressive, but when you load full size image you can really appreciate the carefully chosen hues of the flamboyant colors and the details in the shading. The juxtaposition of the bright colors and the foreboding lighting only make it that much more intimidating, from my point of view. Embyr 75  --Talk-- 12:11, 7 October 2010 (EDT)
  2. I agree with Embyr. It's a good image, the shading and the overall tone make it a pretty unique image that deserves the nomination. Makes me want to pick up The Wind Waker and fight it at Ganon's Tower, but wait. That's black and white... Gormanbros 20:46, 18 October 2010 (EDT)
  3. I love the colors on this boss, and totally agree with Embyr and Gormanbros! Linkissohot 16:16, 23 December 2010 (EST)
  4. I don't know of a more vibrantly-colored boss! The image is of large size, and the transparency is professionaly executed. Let's feature this baby! — ciprianotalk 19:02, 3 January 2011 (EST)
  5. There's nothing else to say other than to agree and show my support. This is definitely one of the better boss artworks of the series. It would make a great addition to the featured pictures. It's now 5-0, so let's just get some votes in, and, like Cip said, feature this baby! — Hylian King [*] 17:38, 11 January 2011 (EST)

Great Deku Tree

File:OoT Great Deku Tree.png
Great Deku Tree artwork as seen in Ocarina of Time

When I first saw this image, I was just... wow. The detail is stunning, with the light coming through the leaves and and the shading on the Great Deku Tree himself. It captures the intensity of a new adventure, with Link staring timidly into his darkened mouth. I think it truly is feature-worthy. Rambo Zelda 15:39, 29 October 2010 (EST)

  1. This image...it's so opaque, but the thing about it that caught my eye is the shadows. They contrast with the rest of the image so well I want to get my controller and make a new file just so I can compare the image to the tree in the game.--TheHK (T) (C) 09:33, 2 November 2010 (EDT)

  1. This image isn't that high of quality. It looks rather pixeled and low quality, something you'd see from a crappy scanner.User:Mandi/sig 21:03, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Good picture, but please try to find a better, higher-quality version of it for a featured picture. Alter  {T C B H } 19:03, November 25, 2010 (UTC)
