After Link receives a Force Gem from the Fish Saleswoman in Papuchia Village, Spirit Tracks leading to the Pirate Hideout will be revealed, making it accessible for Link to enter. Inside the hideout, Link will find the prisoner behind bars asking for the young hero's help. In order to rescue the prisoner, Link must partake in what is sort of a minigame: he will have to defeat as many Miniblins as possible with his bow and arrows as they walk across the upper part of the DS screen while Link stays on the other side of the hideout. Eventually, once enough Miniblins have been destroyed, the prisoner and Link will get on a small type of Mine Cart to escape the hideout. As they make their way out, Miniblins will continue to follow the pair. In both occasions, if Link takes too long to defeat a Miniblin, it will throw a cage at the young hero, and if it's not destroyed using an arrow, it will capture Link, ending the the rescue. At the end of the hideout is a Big Blin that will give a massive hit to the pair if he is not defeated before the escape cart reaches him.

Wadatsumi is a character in Spirit Tracks.[2]

Biography

Wadatsumi is a resident of Papuchia Village. However, prior to the events of Spirit Tracks, he and the other men of the village were kidnapped by Pirates.[3] Once Link completes the Fire Temple and obtains Force Gem 16, he is able to drive the Spirit Train to the Pirate Hideout, where he finds Wadatsumi kept captive in a cell. Link defeats the Miniblin Pirates and their Big Blin leader, and they escape the hideout in a Mine Cart.[4] Wadatsumi then asks the young hero to drive him home to Papuchia Village so that he can be with his female companion once again.[5][6]

When Wadatsumi arrives back in Papuchia Village, he shows his thanks to Link by producing Force Gem 17,[7] then heads straight to Orca's house.[8] Link automatically follows him there to witness the reunion, where Wadatsumi behaves overly familiar toward Orca;[9] it turns out the pair were only ever friends, and Orca is bothered that Wadatsumi imagines otherwise.[10][11] Furthermore, if Link has obtained Force Gem 2, then Orca will already be married to Dovok at this time,[12] making the encounter a bit more heated.[13]

In either scenario, Wadatsumi has little to say before he leaves Orca's house and returns to wandering outdoors.[14] He later tells Link that he has decided to move on,[15] and that he is considering visiting the Wise One to have his fortune told.[16]
