Time Schedules

So yeah, I was thinking that even with very few active members, we actually got this place not dead for a while. My reasoning:

People on ZW
Person Time Zone/Location Times on
Seablue Eastern (GMT -5 Hr.)/NY nearly every day
Matt Central (GMT -6 Hr.)/SD nearly every day
Ando Central (GMT -6 Hr.)/TN nearly every day
Adam GMT (GMT ±0 Hr.)/England most weekdays
Yuvorias Australia (No idea)/No idea. Most nights
MARKOL Forgot.. Occasionally, 3-4 times a week
Melchizedek (GMT+10 hr) East Australia A few times a week
[Add Name] [Add Zone & Location] [Add Activeness]

You're probably gone by now, but hopefully we can fill in this list with many members...and have he wiki under control all the time :D User:Seablue254/sig 18:35, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Just to butt in, I've updated my details in the "schedule". Also, without trying to sound too defensive, I'd like to refute the recent "accusations" of my inactiveness. If you check the patrol log you'll see that my longest absence in the past month has been three days (I'm not taking offence, just making a point.) Like many people, I do actually have a life outside the internet ;) User:Adamcox82/sig 20:55, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps we could move this to another page? Because if this page gets too big, I will archive it. Also, if we are to add specific times that we are on the Wiki normally, then let's keep it like Adam's (GMT ±0 Hr.).User:Mjr162006/sig 21:31, July 23, 2008 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure that having our "schedules" (or at least the sysops' schedules) displayed publicly is such a good idea. I had thought about doing this before but didn't based on the thought of vandals.
Imagine that you want to vandalize this place, and you basically have a guide here saying "Alright, there are no admins on during THIS time. I'll strike then!" rather than the "ohhhhh snaps I hope no one's on to block me!" that they'd usually have. User:Ando/sig 21:48, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Good point. We can keep the table, but not have the precise times that we are online. I tweaked the table a little bit.User:Mjr162006/sig 22:14, July 23, 2008 (UTC)
We could, however, make a table with such online times on someone's computer. Then we can distribute it to trusted members through e-mail. How about that?User:Mjr162006/sig 22:16, July 23, 2008 (UTC)

Sure, if you feel like it, whatever. I don't care too much, so it'd be up to you guys. :P User:Ando/sig 22:30, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Whoa there! I wasn't talking about keeping someone on the Wiki ALL THE TIME. My schedule is so wishy-washy, i might say i'll be later on today, to never show up. I don't think we should be pushing our members to get on the wiki at times, I was just showing every one when everyone else seems to be on, that way, say you have something important concerning another member, you can know when to get on. I didn't mean to be enforcing a schedule... User:Seablue254/sig 15:54, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Mein computer

Why are you so interested in my computer all of a sudden? :P
It's a desktop; I used to have a desktop, but I generally prefer laptops for the "only one cord which is the power cord" as opposed to the "power cord, mouse, keyboard, internet, etc." desktops. So I switched to a laptop! Unfortunately, no drivers existed for running XP on said laptop, so I was stuck with Vista. Eventually I got so frustrated with it that I just switched back to a desktop which I'm running now. At least desktops are easily upgradeable!
It's a sweet desktop, too. Nice, small casing. 2 GHz AMD Athalon 64 dual-core processor, and a Gig of RAM. (And I know you didn't ask, but it's got two ATI Radeon X1300 PRO video cards which are SWEET AND AMAZING.) So it's running XP Professional, SP3, and yes, it's got a middle-mouse button. Why do you ask-- oh. You're gonna talk to me about tabs, aren't you. WHATEVER, MAN.
My one frustration thus far is... no print screen button on this keyboard! D: I need to get a new keyboard, I guess. User:Ando/sig 22:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm interested because mine is ancient, in computer years that is (my definition: one actual year equals six computer years).
Let's see...
The label on my PC says...
Designed for
____________Microsoft®
Windows NT®
Windows® 98
Old huh? I like to get a good idea of what would be a good buy from people I trust first before I go and spend so much money. I know it is possible to change what a key on your keyboard does when pressed. You can change a button you don't use to Print Screen. I'm not sure how to do this. I just not that it can be done. Is you keyboard separate? I assume it is for a desktop. If it is, you could just get another keyboard. They are cheap enough.User:Mjr162006/sig 23:01, July 23, 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I know I could have just used an underline for that. I was testing to see how it works. Here is another one:
 ||S
Neat huh?User:Mjr162006/sig 23:09, July 23, 2008 (UTC)

Ahh. Yeah, that's relatively old (although my friend just got out of using his Windows 95 computer with a 1 GB HDD about a year ago, and another friend of mine is still using his). I just happen to have a dad that works on a lot of computer stuff, and so whatever he either buys and ends up not needing or pulls out of another computer, there's a good chance that I can use it. :P
I was thinking about just buying a new keyboard, yeah. The problem is (as I'm sure I've mentioned before) I HAVE NO JOB BECAUSE NO ONE WILL CALL BACK FOR AN INTERVIEW. RAWR
So once I DO actually get some money, I'm gonna save up quite a bit to get a good, solid keyboard that I can mod to have a laptop nub-mouse. :D User:Ando/sig 03:48, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Wah! That's weird! What the heck is that code doing??

I think I know how to edit what each keyboard button does. Let me check it out and I'll get back to you. Do you have a Pause/Break button? That is a really useless button that would be a good choice. Or maybe Insert or Caps Lock or Scroll Lock. I think it could work for any button on your key board if you have got more [useless] buttons then I do.User:Mjr162006/sig 04:20, July 24, 2008 (UTC)
That code overlaps characters.
I think that this will suit your keyboard need perfectly. If not, then there is also this. See what works best.User:Mjr162006/sig 04:31, July 24, 2008 (UTC)
I made this just for you. I hope it is not too late to do it.User:Mjr162006/sig 04:36, July 24, 2008 (UTC)

Haha, sweet, thanks. I think I'll replace Scroll Lock. I never knew what that thing did anyway (not even my computer-expert dad knows!).
Regarding the thing you made, well, thanks, but my dad's already re-formatted the laptop so he can use it. :/ I appreciate the thought, though; but all I really had bookmarked anyway were text dumps. :P User:Ando/sig 04:44, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

LOL WUT?
You guys have a computer discussion and leave me out?
Again, LOL WUT?
Anyway, let me start about me. I'm using:
e-Machines Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit Computer,
Intel Pentium 4 CPU,
A Gig of RAM (I wants more.)
IntelliType Pro Wireless Keyboard and Mouse (I...I actually have to pride Microsoft on this.)
Intel 82945 Express Chipset Family Video Card,
~152 GB Hitachi HDD.
AND ITS ONLY 11 MONTHS OLD AND STILL WORKING STRONG
Wait, did I just win this conversation?! ;) User:Seablue254/sig 14:21, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
(BTW, what games do you play on your system, Ando?)
Oh, and Ando, what job do you want? the reason you may not be getting interview callbacks is uh...the voice problem... User:Seablue254/sig 15:04, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Win? No, you use Vista still. :D I will admit, though, the keyboard is nice. I like that keyboard. But without even knowing what your video card is (I've no idea how to find out in Vista though), we can't judge your computer's gaming ability. :/ And that's the only reason anyone would ever have a computer, isn't it? User:Ando/sig 17:21, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Also, Sea, no employer even knows what my voice sounds like since they never call back. I just send in applications but I'm pretty sure that no one looks at them. :( I WANT A JOB

You know, even if I do use Vista, I still beat one computer. and that is Strongbad's 'Lappy 486. His Laptop is 42 pounds, a HDD of 2MB, a "several color monitor", 512KB of RAM, and a battery life of 5 minutes. I beat that by a lot. In fact, someone should send in an email about that. :D User:Seablue254/sig 01:13, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll say this right now. Even though I may constantly call Vista a piece of crap, I still have to say it works good. Even if XP is better (Uh, this has only been out 2 years. XP has had its bugs fixed for 5. Just wait till XP is gone and everyone uses Vista/Windows 7.), Vista has a ways to go until it can catch up with XP. Lastly, let me say that a computer is just for gaming as long as the game doesn't hurt me where it hurts most. My wallet. User:Seablue254/sig 20:50, 24 July 2008 (UTC) P.S., what kind of job are you looking for, Ando? It can't be fast food as you have no voice at the moment.
Since I technically put my computer together myself, with the best spare parts I could manage on my limited budget (zero at the time I put it together), I don't think that saying the brand name will mean anything at all. But here are some specs. They are the best that the motherboard on this thing can handle:
RAM: 512 MB
Processor: Intel Pentium II 400 MHz
Hard Drive: Maxtor 120 GB
Keyboard: Logitech Deluxe 104
Mouse: Microsoft Intellimouse 1.2A (Hey, at least it works!)
CD Drive: Sony CD-RW
Display adapter: ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP
Monitor: Dell 800M
I do have a USB wireless optical mouse as well as the wheel one I'm using. But this computer only has two USB ports. I did get one of those USB hubs and I do have one of those adapters that let you plug a USB mouse into a standard mouse port. But I don't like getting batteries and I am too cheap to get rechargeable ones. They are only any good if you get the real expensive ones. The cheap ones just can't hold a charge for a reasonable length of time after about three or four rechargings.
For some odd reason, my processor's top speed has gone down to 398 MHz when it was at 401 MHz a year and a half ago.User:Mjr162006/sig 03:08, July 27, 2008 (UTC)
Matt, how can you build a computer with 0 budget? Old computers, right? User:Seablue254/sig 13:29, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Matt, what kind of RAM are you using? DDR? DDR2? User:Seablue254/sig 00:46, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I was wondering about the perfect computer. Care to elaborate with me?
Perfect Computer
Hardware Name
RAM 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM (Speed, Dude!)
Processor Intel Core 2 Quad Microprocessor
HDD Hitachi 7K1000 1TB HDD (Storage, Man!)
Keyboard Microsoft IntelliType Pro Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 200 Series Card
OS XP Professional With Dual-Booted Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (And once it's bugs are gone, Windows Vista Ultimate)

Pretty Cool, eh? Maybe you could help add more parts. User:Seablue254/sig 17:49, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm fairly certain that I've got DRR1 memory. DRR2 didn't come out until 2003 and I'm sure that my RAM is older than that. As far a perfect PC, 1TB hard drives!! Yeah!!! I've waited so long, but I must wait longer. That will cost too much. I would like it to be in binary bytes though, not metric. Yes, I prefer the metric system over the US customary system. But it doesn't work for a PC. It will be a cold day in hell when I use these prefixes. They are just beyond dumb.User:Mjr162006/sig 18:30, July 29, 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'll be able to afford this when I actually decide to get a real paying job. I didn't mean to buy this, I was just thinking up what the best would be. Anyways, your memory, do you know what kind? According to what you said, you have 1 512 DDR (Not DDR1) SDRAM module. Do you know the peak transfer rate and Data Transfers per Sec.? For Peak Transfer, try to determine the PC-#### part. The numbers will be the peak transfer rate in MBs. For the Data Transfers per Sec., find out the Modules Standard name. It will be DDR-###, with the numbers being the Data Transfer per Sec. in Millions. This can help with that. Either way, you might wanna upgrade to 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM when you get the chance to help your XP Machine. That is, considering the Machine will last for a few years, it's pretty dumb to do that when you only wanna keep it for 6 more months. Same thing with the Processor. A quick look at Pentium II microprocessors in Wikipedia show that you machine is a little more then 8 years old and the processor stopped going into production a long time ago. If you want something good, Intel Core 2 microprocessors are fast. If you have a good amount of money, a Core 2 Duo sounds good good. If you want something for less, Intel Pentium 4 microprocessors are pretty good, try to go for something with 2 cores if you can. Yes, you can call me a computer nerd. Either way, good luck with your next custom-built computer. User:Seablue254/sig 21:39, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh yes, and what kind of processors do you like? I myself am an Intel person. I've always liked Intel because that's really the microprocessors that the computers my parents purchase use. I looked at my Brothers XP Machine today. It says that it uses AMD Athalon. I was thinking "Needs moar Intel Pentium 4." Then again, if my dad and I even cared to replace that, we would need to buy it a new Intel Motherboard...move everything over....it's just not worth the labor. Anyways, i'll see you later. User:Seablue254/sig 20:42, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm more of an Intel person. Our old family computer had an AMD. It was a 1000 MHz processor. The computer met all the recommended requirements for running Sim City 4, but the AMD processor was not fast enough to run it. I asked around, one of my friends had a computer that was nearly identical in every way except it had a 1000 MHz Intel processor. He was able to run Sim City 4 just fine. The AMD processors I've used were prone to overheating and caused frequent computer crashes.User:Mjr162006/sig 23:58, August 5, 2008 (UTC)

Really? Well my brother does nothing except play online games on his computer, along with MapleStory. MapleStory...MAPLESTORY...FRIGGIN' THING MADE MY KEYBOARD STOP WORKING THANK GOD I HAD A RESTORE POINT MAPLESTORY CAN FALL DOWN A PIT AND ROT FOR THAT IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A GOOD FREAKIN' STORY ITS FOR 8 YEAR OLDS AHGAH!!!...sorry, lost my cool. It caused me a lot of problems, in other words. User:Seablue254/sig 00:08, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Whoa, welcome back!

I thought that you were coming back tomorrow? But whatever! Welcome back either way. ;) User:Ando/sig 01:57, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

It turns out that the running light on the camper, or whatever the crap those things are called, the lights for indicating stopping or turning, were not working and we decided to get back before dark since my dad had so far to go tomorrow. He wanted to get some sleep. It did rain once. It was early this morning shortly after dawn. My dad always locks the camper door out of habit to prevent the other kids from waking him up in the morning. I don't like sleeping in campers. Well, just not ours anyway. It is an ancient piece of crap. I was in a tent. Of course, as fate would have it, that tent was getting old and leaky. You can just guess what happened. We tried our best to keep everything in the center, but too much of the stuff was leaking in everywhere. So, I force my dad awake from the outside and he opened the door. We rushed to get everything out tent and into the camper. About twenty minutes later, the sky was clear blue with not a cloud in site and the tent had an ankle deep pool. There was another thing of interest that happened a few weeks before in that campground. An embankment collapsed in a heavy and prolonged rain (about three days solid of nonstop, heavy rain) and took several trees, the nearby road, and a few campsites (presumably unoccupied at the time) into the good old Missouri River. The loss of the road made getting around the campground in big, awkward camper trailers a royal pain in the ***. We just happen to have had a site about eighty feet from the collapsing embankment on a one-way road that just happened to come from the direction of the now missing road. So, if you remember how campsites are oriented in relation to a one-way road's direction then you can imagine the complications. We must have seen about forty different vehicles try to get out on our road only to find that the part of the road that would get them out no longer existed, thereby forcing them to turn around. That was easy enough when the nearby site were empty. But once they were occupied, it became quite a challenge. It became so bad that I was forced to go to the campground host and make him fully aware of the problem and offered potential solutions.
So that was my time. How was yours? From the recent changes it didn't seem out of the ordinary.User:Mjr162006/sig 02:42, July 27, 2008 (UTC)
Sounds like you had loads of fun! I'm glad that I didn't get any postcards from you stating "Wish you were here", because that would probably mean that you hate me. :(
Anyway, uh, what happened here... Not much, actually. Just normal stuff. No new vandals that I can recall. Regular edit-type stuff. Same old, same old. No new featured stuff, even. Pretty routine. User:Ando/sig 03:13, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, ZU got hacked...AGAIN (Always entertaining) and bcause of that, ZW wouldn't let me in till now. How did you guys get in? User:Seablue254/sig 11:59, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
so thats why i could not get in--Rapido 12:35, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah....ZU may be the heaviest source of Zelda Knowledge on the Internets, but t also has the worst security. This has got to be at least the 3rd or 4th time they got haxxored. User:Seablue254/sig 13:20, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh and Matt, do you mean the blinkers? Those are the things on the car that indicate turning and stopping. User:Seablue254/sig 13:22, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Apology

Hey man, sorry for me and Adam calling you out over there. We just noticed that you were beginning to act like the dominant force over at most places and it had to stop. Trust me, we all know you're very smart. You have 5 archives and soon you might need another. There's a reason for that, and it's ecause we all kow you're the person that can help. Hopefully you'll understand that we mean no harm. User:Seablue254/sig 15:51, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Well if you know, then I see no reason for me to actually say the word "smart". Perhaps that will suppress the reactions.User:Mjr162006/sig 15:56, July 27, 2008 (UTC)
Just stop saying it. It'll seem less "in your face" that way User:Seablue254/sig 16:02, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Saving Space

I'm going to try something to save some space on my userpage. I'm moving content to user subpages, then calling them on the main user page. This will improve load time, make editing easier, and improve our ability to spot errors in the page. So, no one freak out when I make a lot of user subpages and my userpage is reduced in size. When view the page normally, it will be just as long.User:Mjr162006/sig 03:51, July 28, 2008 (UTC)

I was talking to Ando about it. I don't think that it'll be used at all. User:Seablue254/sig 16:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

I never expected it would. I was thinking of putting it only on my userpage before I even started making it.User:Mjr162006/sig 16:19, July 28, 2008 (UTC)
Which Logo is this?User:MARKOL/sig12:23, July 28, 2008 (EST)
Oh? User:Seablue254/sig 16:25, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Should I upload it?User:Mjr162006/sig 16:27, July 28, 2008 (UTC)

I don't see why not, there was no trouble when I uploaded mine.User:MARKOL/sig12:29, July 28, 2008 (EST)

I don't see why not. Do I get any of teh credits? Wait, I have a version I edited. Wait for an email. User:Seablue254/sig 16:29, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm... looks strange off to the side. Send me an image of just that symbol you added, and I can add it behind all the glowing rays behind the "W".User:Mjr162006/sig 16:37, July 28, 2008 (UTC)

I'l have to do it later. User:Seablue254/sig 16:45, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I was able to cut it out of the one you sent before. It looks good now. I'll upload sometime today.User:Mjr162006/sig 17:23, July 28, 2008 (UTC)
Oooooh, me like! Thanks for giving me some credit, too! User:Seablue254/sig 21:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
How were you able to get the rays so easily? User:Seablue254/sig 21:50, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

There is a method to it. It involves using layers and distorting filters.User:Mjr162006/sig 21:56, July 28, 2008 (UTC)

It still needs work. The wings are too choppy looking. I want them smooth. I can do that. It just takes awhile.User:Mjr162006/sig 21:59, July 28, 2008 (UTC)

Timeline

If the Oracle games occur after Ocarina of Time, which they must, how is it that Twinrova is alive?User:MARKOL/sig9:25, 31 July 2008 (EST)

Maybe they were resurrected? I'm just taking a guess. User:Seablue254/sig 13:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Absence

Matt, where'd ya go?! You've been gone for like, 3-4 days since today (8/2/08)! Ando's sick and gone, you just disappear! I'm lonely! User:Seablue254/sig 22:44, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Just busy. I've been checking in every once and a awhile.User:Mjr162006/sig 15:47, August 3, 2008 (UTC)
What's been going on? I was thinking "If he isn't here today, then i have to make frequent into absent, because this is unlike our typical Matt. If he doesn't appear a few days after that, maybe he died or something? It's unlike Matt to be unseen for a few days....". User:Seablue254/sig 15:50, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Still waiting on what was making you so busy ;) User:Seablue254/sig 18:40, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
It was because of a reaction to the chemicals used at my dentist visit. It caused my nose to "overflow" constantly, four nearly five days. It was that really runny, drippy stuff. It effectively made it impossible to get on the computer without getting it all over. It also cause a whole bunch of sinus headaches that really made me want to nothing but lie down. My ears are in pain still. That only added to it. I lost a small part of two teeth due to an accident, although I cannot recall how. I never felt anything. I just looked in the mirror one day and noticed. I never felt it happen. One was repaired and now looks a good as new, that was the visit that caused the issues. The other tooth needs a crown. Because of how it got exposed, there was an infection. I have got to clear it up with this really nasty mouthwash. It is awful. After using it, your taste buds are burned out and you are unable to taste anything at all for the next twelve hours after using it. I still got five more days of using this stuff.User:Mjr162006/sig 18:54, August 5, 2008 (UTC)
Your life is sounding like hell right now man. I could not go 12 hours of not tasting anything. Especially if it was something I liked like hamburgers or steak..or baked potatoes....or quasedillas (even though i'm not mexican/spanish/whoever makes them)....or pancakes...or biscuits...mmm good stuff.....i'm drooling now....but yo get my drift. Anyay, you're not the only one who had something happen to their teeth without feeling it. A week or so ago (I believe, might have been 4-5 days...) I was ating luch, took a bite of the bread next to my food. Was eating it...and DONK! I felt something really hard (Harder than the bread I was having) Hit my left moler (Or whatever tooth it is next to your last tooth on your left side in a 13 year old boy). I reached in to take it out and see what it was, and there it was, plain as day, my right moler. I then used my tongue to feel where that tooth was, to find nothing there except the blood that came out since my loose tooth fell out. I told my mom I lost another loose tooth, got a paper towel, and bit down on that for a while. It was a complete shock to me; even though I knew it was loose, I didn't expect it to come out for a little bit. Anyway, it a good thing, considering my orthodontist is just waiting for me to lose more baby teeth before he starts the last (I believe) stage of my now 3(?) year treatment. User:Seablue254/sig 19:15, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

FP

Blargh. I missed it and it was right there. Maybe i'll get the next one, FP/35. User:Seablue254/sig 00:32, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Challenge

Oooh, someone actually thinks a challenge I made up was hard? Thats...new. But yeah, I must have forgot about %20. I think i'll make this one short, keep it up there 3, MAYBE 4 days until I reveal it. I want to see how many people know this. I suspect only 4 of us will get this correct (Me, you, Adam (Duh, he works in computers), and i'm sure Ando might get it). Maybe Yuvorias who has never shown he is smart in computers might get it, we'll have to see tomorrow, because I must go now. See ya tomorrow! User:Seablue254/sig 02:06, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Just wanted to get some feedback

I see that you are a very logical person but I don't know bout your time line theory ...would you mind checking out my page and telling me what you think of mine?--Remo 19:29, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It seems that one determining factor is the defeat of Ganondorf in The Wind Waker and in Twilight Princess. It is strange in that the games that might fit after each have the beast form Ganon in them. He seems to be in this form after something revives him. The other factor is the Hyrule in LoZ/AoL. I highly doubt that Tetra and her group come across a large landmass and take it over. So the only possibility is the Great Deku Tree's plan. But that would take a very long time. But that could explain Adventure of Link's geography and why Hyrule looks like a bunch of connected islands. There isn't anything I can find that proves this theory wrong. It could happen. I'm very certain that Link's Awakening happens after the Oracles. There are two places that people consider for the Oracles. That is: after Adventure of Link or after A Link to the Past. I think it is after A Link to the Past because the castle in the opening of the Oracles looks like the one in A Link to the Past. Also, everything (items, Nightmares, bosses, characters, etc.) in Link's Awakening makes more sense when the Oracles are placed there.User:Mjr162006/sig 20:09, August 6, 2008 (UTC)

thanks for lookin at it. I am so glad someone finally realized the map's significance that I was goin for with LOZ and LOZ 2.

but in that first sentence "It is strange in that the games that might fit after each have the beast form Ganon in them" what did you mean by that?

Also ...do you think the final Boss in Link's Awakening ,Nightmare, Is supposed to be Vaati. I thought it might but the attacks aren't similar at all...I dunno what do you think? Last question I promise :P --Remo 22:53, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The beast form Ganon, I meant it could mean that some unknown bad guy might revived Ganon in each case, and that is why he is in beast form. But that is just a guess.
About the final form of Nightmare, I thought about it and I'm not certain that it is Vaati. It seems that the other nightmares are bosses that this Link has personally faced. I hold to the belief that the Links in the Oracle games, ALttP, and LA are all the same person. With that in mind, then the first form of Nightmare is a large version of a Zol, I think. The final form is a special form made just for Link's Awakening. The other forms are bosses that this Link has already faced. Despite all this however, it is obvious that Nightmare's final form was the inspiration for Vaati.
Perhaps I can whip up a third timeline on my page based on your placement of LoZ/AoL. Please keep in mind that the statement on my page about "If you claim a timeline other than one of these two..." is only there for comic relief and is not a serious remark.User:Mjr162006/sig 00:08, August 7, 2008 (UTC)

No harm :D --Remo 06:03, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm afraid that your timeline doesn't exactly make sense, Remo. Looking at it, the first part of the 'Adult Link has TWW in it. In TWW, Link does not look like an adult, and the same can be debated in TP, because Link looks 17-ish. Still, we have to remember that we don't know how old you have to be to "come of age" in TWW, so I may be wrong in both cases. User:Seablue254/sig 19:33, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I'll answer you on ur page so we don't crowd here.--Remo 19:56, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Recent OoA / OoS Japanese edits

You recently made some edits to the Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons pages stating in the edit summary that you "don't think a Japanese period is necessary", and then proceeded to remove the last part of the titles of the games, and no Japanese period appears at all in the history of the pages that I can find. I'm very confused as to what you were thinking you were doing in altering the titles of the games; the edits you made actually make the titles incorrect and incomplete. Please explain? User:Ando/sig 03:05, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm not really sure now. Hmm. I now think that my change was wrong. I really don't know how that happened.
Here is the good thing that comes out of this mess. When I noticed that the OoA and OoS translations and Japanese names were not in the same format, I checked the other games. Many are different. Should we standardize the Romanji translations of the games? They are not all the same. I'm referring to the stuff in the parentheses right after each game's name. Also, it is awkward to read the Japanese names at my resolution since they tend to overflow to the next line. We need to make some changes on that part. We might be able to put the Japanese names in the infoboxes.User:Mjr162006/sig 03:34, August 7, 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I've noticed the differences in formatting of the Japanese. I can't do much about it now, though, because the new computer doesn't have the Japanese IME, so I'll have to re-configure my keyboard to type Japanese. Should be fun. Or I could copy and paste the titles. :P
I agree with the idea of fitting them into the infoboxes. Sounds like a plan to me. User:Ando/sig 03:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Olympics

Hey, wanted to ask, did you watch the Opening Ceremony? User:Seablue254/sig 00:41, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

No. I usually don't. But the TV in the other room is set to it and I can hear it. But I didn't watch it.User:Mjr162006/sig 00:47, August 9, 2008 (UTC)
OH CRAP YOU SHOULD HAVE IT WAS FRIGGIN' AWESOME. 2008 DRUMMERS, TONS OF FIREWORKS, IT WAS FREAKIN' AWESOME. User:Seablue254/sig 00:55, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
I can still see it. They're replaying it at 1:39AM Central Time tonight. I can stay up for that.User:Mjr162006/sig 01:02, August 9, 2008 (UTC)
If you use a DVR, you should set it up to record the Opening Ceremony then. Also, did you get my email? I'm asking for instructions on how the thing works. User:Seablue254/sig 01:04, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I'm reading your e-mail now. I'm typing up a response.User:Mjr162006/sig 01:36, August 9, 2008 (UTC)

It was really neat. The whole thing with the blocks moving around was amazing. To bad you didn't see it.--Link hero of light 04:36, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Actually, he may have saw it, Link. He said it'll be replayed at 1:39 AM where he lives; 12:39 AM for you and 2:39AM for me. But the countdown was awesome. The drums light up when the people hit them, so they arranged them to do all these cool things. They even had light-up batons. User:Seablue254/sig 12:21, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

College and Stuff

So, how was the college? I remember you left a few days ago? Did you like it? User:Seablue254/sig 18:32, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Good. Not as far of a walk to classes as I thought. The campus police is practically right next door to my residence hall, so it'll be nice and quiet. That is actually why I chose that hall. No roommate! Yay! (Cost an extra $500 though) The best place to eat on campus is right behind my residence hall, and so is the student health building. It will be great. Moving up in about two weeks. Start just after labor day, I think. Is that what that day is called? I can never remember.User:Mjr162006/sig 18:39, August 15, 2008 (UTC)
Wow. Nice, very nice. So, you'll still be able to contribute, right? The Dorm Room hopefully has a compy? Or do you have a Laptop? We'd hate to not have you here for 4 years! User:Seablue254/sig 19:51, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll bring this PC I am using now. They have hard-line access in the dorm rooms, but not wireless. I'll get a laptop too for the wireless areas. I'll need that for classes anyway. Just about everywhere on campus has wireless, just not in the dorms. They are still trying to find out what the best way is to do it. They'll have it before I graduate.User:Mjr162006/sig 22:29, August 15, 2008 (UTC)
I suggest upgrading the PC. If it is to be used, you want something with good power. Maybe use the Lappy for schoolwork and the Compy for storage and internet? User:Seablue254/sig 22:37, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh, also, what are the classes? How long will they be? User:Seablue254/sig 23:16, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

American History, Calculus, Computer Science, World History, English. Most classes are 50 minutes long. Computer Science is one hour and fifteen minutes long and is about C++ programming. Most days will have three classes, but Friday I only have two. Earliest class is a 9:00 AM latest is about 2:00 PM, central time. It is awesome. It pays to register your classes at the earliest possible time! Only computer science will be any challenge for me. I don't have any experience with C++ programming. I already knew everything in my calculus book before I was a senior in high school. Heck, I already know a lot that is taught in Calculus II and Calculus III and much more than that. Math will be a breeze in college.User:Mjr162006/sig 00:17, August 16, 2008 (UTC)

So in other words, it's like normal high/middle school, yet A LOT less time. I have 7 hours of Middle School. Your college sounds like only 3 maybe 4 hours a day, with time in between. Anyway, we seem to be similar in Math, except I don't learn ahead. I'm good at Math, actually school in general. If there's an honors class to attain, I'm in it. But math was probably my best subject. I got the usual 90 or above on all tests, maybe 1 or to 85-89's. Never below 85 though. But your college sounds like it also has better people. Mine has bullies. College probably won't. User:Seablue254/sig 00:25, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Here is my typical calc test in high school: I finish it in about ten to fifteen minutes. Two days later, everyone else finishes.
I beat the bullies in my class with words. I stood up to them in early middle school one day. After that, everyone was nicer to each other from then on and bulling became rare in the within about three grades of mine. Yeah that college is nice. But no matter where you go, there will still be idiots that do foolish things, mess around, and that should not have even made it into high school, let alone college. But it is a safer college than most. We didn't have much for honors courses in my school, but I did take Algebra I in eighth grade for high school credit. I don't think the honors courses in the college are for freshman.User:Mjr162006/sig 00:42, August 16, 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I tried stopping my bullies too. Once, one comes. I tell him to stop. He says "Oh, you wanna fight?" I was "Uh...no". After that, I haven't been bullied much, because I'm pretty sure most of the bullies don't target me. They're just mean in general. As for my test, I'm not like that, considering my math tests are usually done in one day, it goes like this for me. We get the test at the beginning of the period. After 10-15 minutes, the really smart kids and I finish. After 30-35 minutes, the normal honors kids finish. Around 5 minutes to the end of the period and AFTER class is finished, the low-end honors kids (Believe me, there are some kids who made it into honors by like, a point and it makes me wonder how they got in) finish. Anyway, my honors classes are pretty much like skipping a grade of school. In seventh grade (What I just finished) we have our curriculum rushed. We learn all of the 7th and 8th grade curriculum in 7th grade. In the first half we do all of what the normal 7th grade would be doing, then in the second half we do what the 8th grade would learn. In 8th grade the Math, English and History classes will be doing 9th grade things, and Science will be spent doing Earth Science (Usually learned in 9th grade). User:Seablue254/sig 15:43, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I took American history in tenth grade. That was an eleventh grade class. Those math tests, no matter how long it took everyone else, I was always the first one done. The grades on the tests were great too. What really helped was learning the material ahead of time. I knew all the shortcuts, I could do a problem in my head in about ten to twenty seconds that would take someone else five to ten minutes to write out. Everyone was jealous of me. All it takes is to learn the material ahead of time. That's it.User:Mjr162006/sig 16:23, August 16, 2008 (UTC)

Sounds like you're a mirror of me. I'm just naturally smart; my parents say I'm like a sponge when it comes to learning. I go to a class - Hey, do you know the answer to --? or - Hey, do you know the Spanish for the word here? I'm usually asked questions in class. I don't even have to study. I really only study for History and English test, Math and Science just come to me. Anyway, about your programming class, you said you didn't know C++ programming? I thought you would be taking out a book and learning it right now! I tried that once; I took out C++ for dummies from the library once. I still remember the face the librarian had when he saw the computer books I was taking out; he must have been thinking "C++ for dummies? WTF? Wait, HTML 4 for dummies? How in the- Upgrading and Fixing Laptops for Dummies, What?". Yes, I know, I'm a big fan of the For Dummies books. They take hard subjects like computers, and make them easy to learn. They don't just type up a whole monolouge about how a UPS is important for a computer, they make it humorous and enjoyable to read. User:Seablue254/sig 16:40, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
I have the book we're using in the class right now. The total price for all my books so far is over $300. I still have a few more to get too. I'll learn fast. I learn things quickly. I had no idea how to do any of this wiki editing when I came here (four months ago to the day on this day). Now look at me. I'm a natural. I'll get the hang of C++ really fast.
You sound like me! I'm a natural when it comes to math and science. English and history were my rougher parts. But I improved on those areas quickly over the last few years. Mostly because the high school history teacher and English teacher were both awesome. English classes were divided between two teachers. The last one I had is awesome and it is thanks to him that I feel confident in writing those books. Those two, the history and English teachers, they try hard to make learning funny. They slipped in jokes at every opportunity and simplified what the books were trying to tell us.User:Mjr162006/sig 17:45, August 16, 2008 (UTC)
I've got a flashlight here. It has a large, metallic, standard-looking switch and a small, plastic one. The plastic one turns on the light. Guess what the metal one does. Heh, heh.°‿°
No..way. My English and History teachers were awesome in 7th grade also. My History teacher made everything funny. This one kid in our honors classes; he's a smart***. He thinks hes awesome and has bully friends and everything. He tries to be funny in my history class, but everytime he made a joke, not many people would laugh. But then. Then, my history teacher would come right back and joke about him. EVERYBODY started to laugh. The kid never gave up. He kept trying to show off. Once, around Christmas, my teacher made a competition with him. Everytime either of them made a joke and people laughed, they got a point. One of my friends was chosen as he scorekeeper. First one to twenty laughs would win. You could easily guess who one. My English teacher was awesome also. She wa very nice. Once, we had to do Hamlet in out class and got tested on it. No one, NO ONE got over an 80. I think I actually think I failed that test. But she noticed, made an easier version of the test, and retested us. We did better this time. She took those test scores instead. I can't believe how alike we are, Matt. You must be some long lose brother of mine. My other 2 brothers are nothing like me. They're smart, but not as smart. Could it be possible I'm your younger brother ? ;) User:Seablue254/sig 17:58, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm guessing the metal one sprays something, like water? Heh, that reminds me of the rubber band I keep on me usually. :::Whenever I get annoyed by a brother, I usually pull it out of my pocket/wrist and shoot them down :D

Could be, there is one thing, but not something that I'll discuss here. Perhaps in a more private place.User:Mjr162006/sig 18:08, August 16, 2008 (UTC),
Nah, the metal switch shocks you. Unlike the other electric shock tricks, this one is very subtle. No way to really tell ahead of time. The perfect joke. That is, after I remove the warning label that says "emits electric shock".

If you're in the Chatroom, i'll be right there. If not, come on in so you can tell me. User:Seablue254/sig 18:13, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Suggestion

I remember asking you if you had an aplication called skype. You said you didn't. Wll, I think you should get it. My reasoning? 1 - I usually talk to you often, and with skype, I can send you Messages in real time or even talk to you with a mic. 2 - It logs you in whn you start your omputer, so you are ready whenever I have a question 3 - It's free :) Lastly, I need to talk to you. So yeah, come to the 'room, plz. User:Seablue254/sig 17:07, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

After I said that Rope/Lantern thing, Chatzilla didn't update anymore! It didn't come up as locked up, but I didn't see any of your messages after that!. Sorry. I need a new PC, bad.User:Mjr162006/sig 18:25, August 24, 2008 (UTC)
Oh? And there I was, for 20 minutes, anxiously waiting for you to reply. My calls of "MATT!" "DUDE!" were unanswered, and I left. Anyway, yes, you need a new PC. From what I know, Dell's are cheap and use Okay parts, like a Celereon processor instead of Pentium. That keeps the prices down. What about that Laptop? You said you were getting one. It might be a good idea to break that in now to see if it as any faulty parts before leaving for Brookings. User:Seablue254/sig 18:52, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't know. I don't think I can get one until I start taking in money. I'm going to get some sort of job up there. A new laptop is at the top of the list.User:Mjr162006/sig 19:15, August 24, 2008 (UTC)
I see. You wanna, you know, resume what we started? User:Seablue254/sig 19:18, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Let me restart Firefox first. I need to free up some RAM.User:Mjr162006/sig 19:21, August 24, 2008 (UTC)

So, I remember you saying you might try it out. Have you done so yet? User:Seablue254/sig 14:49, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Not yet.User:Mjr162006/sig 15:00, August 25, 2008 (UTC)
How about now? What about those other programs, also? User:Seablue254/sig 21:53, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

I've been too busy fixing redirects and I was just now moving all the stuff in an office across town.User:Mjr162006/sig 23:33, August 25, 2008 (UTC)

Sounds like you've been busy. Np. User:Seablue254/sig 23:44, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
So, anything yet? I'll be in the chatroom if you wanna talk there. User:Seablue254/sig 14:51, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

College

Well, I'm up at the college now. I'm on a public PC at the moment. New internet connections cannot be made in the dorm rooms today since it is a holiday. I'll set it up tommorrow. But it is supposed to take up to 36 hours or so to go through. So I'll be out for a while.
My dorm room is actually bigger than my old room at home. I don't have a room mate. Classes start a 4:00PM tommorrow. But all my classes end before 2:00PM so I don't have class until Wednesday. I'll check in later tonight and a couple times tommorrow.User:Mjr162006/sig 16:05, September 1, 2008 (UTC)

Happy to know. I was wondering where the heck you were. Until now, I thought you had neglected to set up your PC, because you weren't here nor on skype. So, 36 hours to set up an internet connection?! What?! Or is it 36 hours to get a new page opened? Either way, it has proved itself to be crappy. Anyway, happy to hear you like the Dorm Room. It has a desk and nightstand, I hope. Those are two things that are good to have around. Weird question, but do the rooms open by a key, a card key, what? Just curious. Anyway, hope you get to find a job soon. You'll need to pay for those meals, unless you make them yourself, in which case you need to buy ingrediants ;) See you later, dude. User:Seablue254/sig 17:59, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
The time for an internet connection to go through is because someone has to physically confirm it on the other end. There are several thousand freshman coming up here. It takes some time. Meals are already covered we use a prepaid card to buy meals. Dorm rooms are locked with actual keys and not cards. Cards tend to get corrupted real easy. I'm still going to find a job though. There is a possible opening that I'm going to go interview for on Friday. I might not go for that one because the pay is way too low from what I have heard. But I'll still check. The primary mode of fast transport is by bike. A lot more bikes can fit in one place than cars. I had to get a lock for the bike. That isn't an issue in my hometown, but up here it is.User:Mjr162006/sig 00:35, September 2, 2008 (UTC)
Okay, so the internet connection has to be physically confirmed. Considering you say you stay up past midnight, after midnight get the internet connection request. Tomorrow tell them that You need it confirmed. You'll be one of the first people asking for it, anyway. As for the prepaid card, does it only have a certain amount of money on it, or is it for the whole year? Anyway, when you use your bike, keep a map somewhere on it/you. You don't want to get lost.Anyway, I hope you get a good job and have a good last day of vacation tomorrow. God knows I'll be squeezing out my last day. Oh, and when you get a chance, can I get the files you needed to make the ZW add-on? User:Seablue254/sig 00:44, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

No internet in my dorm room yet. A lot of people in my section of the building are having the the same problem. It won't get to the sign-up page that we need to fill out for us to have access to the internet. The tech guy is working on it. As for those files, I can't send anything until my dorm room has internet. But I already sent all the files I used to you. It is all in the .xpi file. All an .xpi file is is a normal ZIP file with a different extension. All the files I used are in it. 7-Zip has no trouble opening these files or creating them. By the way, I have a great schedule. It pays to register for classes at the earliest possible time. I'm done before noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. An by two on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Keep an eye on the site al least until I get my internet connected.User:Mjr162006/sig 17:41, September 3, 2008 (UTC)

Ah. I'll look at that. As for the site, I can't make any promises. I was back in school for the fist day today, so you'll be lucky to see me at all some days. If anything, I'll usually be her from 6-7PM. Anyway, it also pays to get in your honors classes. I'm in Honors Math, History, English, and Science. For the Math and Science classes, Since I'm in 8th Grade, I'm learning 9th grade Math, and Earth Science. Instead of Final Examinations, I'm going to take regents for them. Considering I pass the regents, I know that I get a high school credit for Math and Science. Even better, considering I pass the Science Regents, I would only need to gain one more Science credit before I'm finished with High School Science. Even then I have the chance to take Advanced Science courses, which I think would earn myself College Credits :D User:Seablue254/sig 21:37, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm Back...

Hey, remember me? The guy who was going to do the website? I'm back and I'm working on that website. Pakkun 21:41, 7 September 2008 (UTC)PakkunReply[reply]

Sorry, Matt's not very active anymore since he's started college. You probably shouldn't expect him to show up very much. User:Ando/sig 03:12, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh... Okay. Do you know Seablue's condition? Whether or not he's on much I mean. I'm hardly on anyway. Pakkun 21:36, 15 September 2008 (UTC)PakkunReply[reply]
Yeah, pretty much the same for him, although Sea's actually told me that he's pretty much left the Wiki altogether due to school and other things taking up time and such. User:Ando/sig 03:11, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
All my friends are leaving! Nooooo! You're the 3rd (out of the only 3) people I remember from back in the summer... Pakkun 23:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, I'm still here. I was only having technical difficulties. Got that website up yet?User:Mjr162006/sig 19:05, September 19, 2008 (UTC)

No, not yet... I have to perfect the site's HTML coding. This is pretty good that I'm getting in the business before a game is announced. My Pokémon Website is hectic because Platinum just came out. Anyway, hi. Pakkun 02:58, 20 September 2008 (UTC)PakkunReply[reply]

where the heck u been man what is this

what do you think this is some kind of just leave and not tell anyone party
because it's not
we're gonna send out a search party
unless you just, you know, died or something
that wouldn't be too cool, but if we never find you then i guess that's what happened User:Ando/sig 15:14, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

oh wait school w/e
i'm graduated so w/e

double crap i thought i was on seablues page
but i guess it applies to both of you
ummm
forget i said anything okay man cool User:Ando/sig 15:16, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
School. Sorry. It's been taking up all of my time, leaving me with little time. And uh, what kind of spelling is this? User:Seablue254/sig 22:31, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
I hear you, my computer's been down so I've been using one at my library, fortunately I got it running yesterday, but now I have to reinstall everything. User:MARKOL/sig 19:26, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Wheres Seablue? Hey Matt, I'm new on wiki in case you havn't seen the name, but anyways, do you know what happened to Seablue, his/her page says Seablue has either left wiki or been banned. Seablue was really nice, what happened? The Sage of Cosmos 18:50, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yeah, Sea left a note on my talk page stating that school seems to have gotten in the way and so he probably won't be coming back very often, if at all. Hence "this user has left Zelda Wiki". It's a shame, but... what can you do, right? User:Ando/sig 19:03, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Ahhh... Crap. I've been trying for over two weeks to get my computer on the internet. All attempts failed. I had to buy a brand-new laptop just to get on. I just got it working just now. The public PCs are busy all the time and I had too much to do to wait for one. But I should be able to get in more often now.User:Mjr162006/sig 01:15, September 17, 2008 (UTC)
