I was on the wiki's previous iteration (Zelda Wiki) as Twilightprincessforever06 and Twilit Sunset before Gamepedia was absorbed by Fandom after being bought out by them and the notorious UCX update was implemented, which is when I decided to retire from editing mostly due to not wanting to support Fandom's then-ownership of the wiki. I didn't edit too frequently on the wiki, but I mostly contributed to articles pertaining to the non-canon side of the franchise, and my biggest and most proud contribution was adding info on a story from the Valiant Comics that was only on the original release of one of the issues ("It's Good to be the King"). When it was announced that Zelda Wiki went independent from Fandom, I decided to return since I won't have to worry about supporting Fandom by using the wiki anymore! Huzzah!

* My personal favorite 2D-style game has to be a tie between The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
* On the other hand, my personal least favorite 2D-style game is The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. It's not a bad game by any means, as I found some of the gameplay and certain aspects of it like the costumes and especially the multiplayer and music enjoyable, but the story and tone of the game is way too ridiculous and goofy for my tastes and the single-player mode is an utter slog to play through with how the Doppels work. Something else that also really irritates me about this game is how it's canonically a direct sequel to A Link Between Worlds, which I feel takes away quite a lot more from this game because of the drastic tonal shift while also introducing more issues like why Link was trying to hide his origins. I feel this game probably would've be much better off if it was either, A., a standalone game that wasn't a direct sequel to any other entries in the timeline, B., heavily rewritten and retooled to be more of a proper sequel to A Link Between Worlds, C., a non-canon spinoff game, or D., was made into its own game entirely removed from the series altogether.

History

Huzzah!

2D games

 • My personal favorite 2D-style game has to be a tie between The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
 • On the other hand, my personal least favorite 2D-style game is The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.
