The Lowdown (Bio)
Hi! I'm Eden, better known 'round these parts as EzloSpirit (Singular they OR Spivak pronouns). I have been a Zelda fan since playing TP on the Wii in 2007, though I had previously played . My favorite aspects of the series are the exploration and the music. Series is the bestu.
Hey, there! I'm Eden, otherwise known as EzloSpirit (or, in some cases, SightSpirit).

You have a good chance of knowing me from my unhealthily constant presence on Zelda Universe from 2009-2013 and 2018-present. From 2010 until its final breath in 2013, I served on the staff ("ZUBC") of the original incarnation of Zelda Universe's community podcast, the ZUCast, as a Segment Host. This inspired me to launch my own, Pokémon-related podcast, the <span class="plainlinks">Pokémon Center Podcast</span>, in 2011...that lasted for all of two episodes. Back on ZU, I was the designated Moderator for the Writing forum from June of 2012 until shortly after the following Valentine's Day, when the ZU/Wiki servers imploded and reset back to November; stuff happened on top of that, and I found myself overwhelmed and subsequently ashamed, so I vanished from ZU altogether. Five years later, in spring of 2018, I triumphantly returned to ZU and was quickly promoted to lead Moderator of the new <span class="plainlinks">Creative Corner</span>, which absorbed the old Writing forum. In August of that year, Operations Director Cody recruited me to put together and lead a brand-new ZUBC to reboot the ZUCast, which officially returned to the airwaves in October 2018; we're still pumping out ear candy, so <span class="plainlinks">check us out</span>!
I was an admin here from 2015 to 2018, during which time I contributed a bunch of content about Pure Awesome. I have been a member of the Zelda Universe community through its forums for over half of my life, becoming active in 2009 and remaining active in some capacity almost constantly since then. I was a contributor to the original incarnation of ZU's podcast for several years until its demise, and then I served as Executive Producer for almost five years (2018-2023). In addition, I moderated the old Writing forum on ZU for several months in the early 2010s and am the current moderator of its successor, the Creative Corner; I also serve as a developer for the ZU Forums. With all of these roles wearing me out, I stepped down from Zelda Wiki. After stepping away from the podcast in 2023, I briefly returned to the wiki before leaving again due to dissatisfaction with the new "Terminology" systems and article organization policies.

In April 2015, I learned that Zelda Wiki was hiring new admins. I had been a wiki member since 2009, but my contributions were few and far apart. Luckily, I was interested in returning to the online Zelda community since ghosting ZU in early 2013, and I had been using ZW a lot lately thanks to the relatively recent release of Pure Awesome. So I applied! I was an admin here starting in August 2015; I left the ZW staff in May 2018 due to increased workload from my promotion on ZU and due to dissatisfaction with ZW's sale to Curse.
I play Nintendo and PC games exclusively (not counting the odd mobile game). My favorite Pokémon is Togepi (Pokémon), and Kirby is squishy. My favorite non-Nintendo franchises are Dynasty Warriors and The Elder Scrolls. I am a sucker for exploration and cute things. (Where is my open-world Togepi game?)

I have been a Zelda fan since playing the Wii version of TP in 2007. I had played ALttP and FS as many as five years earlier, but I found the former too difficult to really draw me in. (Ultimately, it took me eight years to beat ALttP. I am just that good.) My favorite Zelda games are a perfect tie between BotW, TP, and MM (3D). Since I'm not counting Pure Awesome.
IRL, I am a librarian at a public library. I got my B.S. in Information Systems from Elizabethtown College, and I got my M.I. (Master of Information) from Rutgers University. I am a CompTIA A+-certified technician, and other people's electronic devices love me. (My own hate me.) Besides gaming, I like reading, writing, singing, and derping. Cats are amazing, little furbabies (and hairless ones are amazing, little skinbabies). I am queer and neurodivergent. I enjoy studying languages and have learned Spanish, German, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese…so far. I also enjoy coding pointless things in Python and poking around in relational databases. Dewey Decimal whoops butt all over Library of Congress; both are bad.

I also play lots of Pokémon (playing morbidly non-strategically since 2000!), Kirby, Mario, Metroid, Dynasty Warriors, and The Elder Scrolls. My favourite television programme is Doctor Who, and much of the music I listen to is original and arranged video game soundtracks. I am a huge fan of ZREO. So much so that I gave up about 2 weeks straight of my free time in January 2012 to upload their entire pre-Twilight Symphony backlog to their <span class="plainlinks">YouTube channel</span> while they continued working on said project. (Yes, I own one of the physical copies!) I have also had the great joy of seeing Symphony of the Goddesses twice (2012 and 2013) at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA. In 2018, I imported the standard edition of the official Breath of the Wild soundtrack from Japan and spent about a week <span class="plainlinks">tagging the soundtrack</span> in English and Japanese, since the files had no metadata when I ripped them from the CDs. Feel free to talk to me about video game music, basically.

I have paid for (or been gifted) all of these. Music subscriptions are for suckers. ;D

Games aren't actually my whole life (though very nearly). I am 24 years old, neutrois, American (by citizenship and geography only), and a college student. I have an AS in Information Science, I'm about to get my BS in Information Systems, and I will be pursuing an MI in Library & Information Science starting in September 2019. Databases have been my area of interest as an undergrad, and my senior capstone project involves designing and building a database about Romance of the Three Kingdoms—the original novel, not the games!—as well as a graphical frontend for querying said database, from scratch. I also study Japanese because I like learning foreign languages. (I've also spent three years studying Spanish and one year studying German; I plan to study Mandarin next.) Oh, yeah, and I also write short fiction; I've written more than 20 short stories since 2008.

Who Is EzloSpirit?

Wow, what a deep question. Do you have about seven hours to spare? No? Okay, then I'll paraphrase.

Hi! I'm Eden, better known 'round these parts as EzloSpirit (they/them(self)/their OR Spivak pronouns). I have been a Zelda fan since playing Twilight Princess on the Wii in 2007, though I had previously played A Link to the Past & Four Swords. My favorite aspects of the series are the exploration and the music. Hestu is the bestu.

I play Nintendo and PC games exclusively (not counting the odd mobile game). My favorite Pokémon is Togepi, and Kirby is squishy. My favorite non-Nintendo franchises are Dynasty Warriors and The Elder Scrolls. I am a sucker for exploration and cute things. (Where is my open-world Togepi game?)
