The Triforce Charts are essential items in The Wind Waker.

Uses

File:Triforcechart.png

The Triforce Charts are necessary in order to gather all eight shards of the Triforce of Courage. The charts are hidden within different islands of the Great Sea, and to obtain them all Link must complete several challenges. The King of Red Lions informs Link that the entire Triforce of Courage must be completed in order to return to Hyrule.[1][2]

At first, the Triforce Charts are unreadable and Link must ask Tingle to decipher them.[3] For a fee of 398 Rupees each,[4] Tingle will decipher all eight of these charts, allowing Link to pinpoint the location of each of the Triforce Shards. Link will have to pay Tingle a total of 3184 Rupees for the deciphering of all eight charts. Link, after obtaining his second Wallet upgrade, can pay the entire lump sum at once, as his final wallet upgrade enables him to carry up to 5000 Rupees at a time.
