In this manga adaption, Link is not a traveler but an apprentice gardener living in [[Hyrule Castle]]. Other differences include Link's ears being pointed due to his being a half-elf (in the ''[[Zelda II: The Adventure of Link|The Adventure of Link]]'' manual illustrations the ears of Impa's tribe are also pointed), Impa is drastically younger (possibly because Zelda is stated to be of the same generation as Link), etc. These changes contribute to the manga’s drastic deviation from the canon.<ref>[http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%BC%E3%83%AB%E3%83%80%E3%81%AE%E4%BC%9D%E8%AA%AC#.E6.BC.AB.E7.94.BB The Japanese Wikipedia's article on the manga]</ref>
