The Legend of Zelda: The Misadventures of Link is a series of short videos available exclusively on the Nintendo Video service for the Nintendo 3DS. The videos serve both as entertainment and as advertisements for The Wind Waker HD. The first episode, "Tunnel Vision", appeared on November 1, 2013.
The Misadventures of Link is based on Link's adventures from The Wind Waker HD. The series is designed to be humorous and depicts Link in a "new and hysterical light."[1] Despite initial reports that suggested that the series was to be animated, much like The Legend of Zelda television show (many articles used the word "cartoon" to describe the series), it is actually a machinima series, in which a game engine is used to create video. While most machinimas are fanmade, The Misadventures of Link is an official Nintendo production, so the Wind Waker HD game engine is used with custom camera angles and facial expressions.
