Target Carts is a mini-game in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
Location
The game is located in eastern Rolling Ridge in the present, and is run by the local Gorons. Target Carts costs 10 Rupees per play. Originally, a different game was found at this location,[1] called the Goron Shooting Gallery, which can be played in the past.
Once Link defeats Veran, Dr. Troy will appear at the Target Carts mini-game. He claims to be studying the Gorons and their games.[2]
Rules
To play the game, Link must have obtained the Seed Shooter. The object of the game is to try to hit all twelve Rupee-like crystals using the Seed Shooter while being pulled along a track in a cart.[3] If Link successfully destroys nine to eleven targets, he will win 20 Rupees.[4] A more special prize is obtained by destroying all twelve targets. The first time this is accomplished, Link will receive the Rock Brisket, which is a key item in the obtention of the Old Mermaid Key. This item is required to enter Mermaid's Cave dungeon, making it necessary for Link to get a perfect score at Target Carts at least once in the game. If Link does it a second time, he will receive the Boomerang. Afterwards, the prize will either be Rupees or a Gasha Seed.
When playing the linked version of Oracle of Seasons, Link will obtain a secret password that can be told to Dr. Troy. After Link receives another perfect score at the game, the biologist will give Link the Bombchus.
