The term "Skull Woods Region" was taken from the Prima guide for A Link Between Worlds. Wtc4ever (talk) 19:46, 31 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pretty sure the game uses "Skull Woods" to refer to that zone anyway, so I don't see the need to have these two named as such. Just have a "Skull Woods (ALBW)" and "Skull Woods (Dungeon)" page. Disambigs should be short and to the point -- when they get so long that it is frustrating to type them up, they need to be renamed.KrytenKoro (talk) 21:49, 31 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Wtc4ever, could you cite the page where you got the name using the cite template? Like so:
<ref>{{cite book|quote= |book= |publisher= |page= }}</ref>
That way we can cite it in the article and not have people questioning where this name came from. :) Thanks, and keep up the great work!! --Dany36 (talk) 03:20, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Edit: Oh...I see now, I got a bit confused. There's three articles on the ALBW Skull Woods, two of which pertain to the Forest part of it. Perhaps, since this page compasses the other ALBW, Forest article, we could merge the ALBW, Forest one with this one? Is there really a big difference between the two? --Dany36 (talk) 03:28, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Like KrytenKoro said. This and the Skull Woods (A Link Between Worlds, Forest) page should be merged and moved to Skull Woods (A Link Between Worlds), while that page should be moved to Skull Woods (Dungeon). Chuck (talk) 03:55, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmmm...but then we have the ALttP Skull Woods article that is also a Dungeon, so it could get a little confusing as to why the ALttP dungeon article is Skull Woods (A Link to the Past) while the ALBW one has only Dungeon. :/ I'm going for a bit of consistency here so I would just rather merge the ALBW,Forest page with this one, but if people prefer the other option, then I'm all for it. You got a point, but I guess that the other way is the simplest way to do it. If it is the other way (the dungeon being called Skull Woods (ALWB) ), how the area page would be called then? Chuck (talk) 05:39, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Honestly, because Lorule is so heavily based upon the Dark World, I'd suggest having a "Skull Woods (Dungeon)" page that simply covered both versions of the dungeon (since it is a thematic descendant, if not locative), and then either just "Skull Woods" for both versions of the forest, or split it into ALttP and ALBW based on version.
(Personally, I'm of the fanon that the Dark World generated its map from Lorule, so that all of its locations are descendants of the Lorule locations, even if they exist in a separate dimension.)KrytenKoro (talk) 13:44, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Chuck, couldn't we just call it Skull Woods (Area) or Skull Woods Region, seeing as how we at least have one source for the name of the latter? Even if it isn't Nintendo official, it's better than nothing... --Dany36 (talk) 02:34, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

My first 8/1/14 update

This is the first of 2 updates I am making to the Skull Woods Region page. This one is a major improvement over the previous version that I made in the case that it's decided not to merge the Forest and Region pages. The second update (which will be in a few moments) will be a merged version of it containing all the information of the Skull Woods (A Link Between Worlds, Forest) page combined with this Skull Woods Region page. If it's decided not to merge the 2 pages, please revert to the first 8/1/14 update I made. Thanks. Wtc4ever (talk) 15:40, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

If it's decided not to merge the Forest & Region pages & the page is reverted to the previous version, the links to the Skull Woods Dungeon page will need to be updated in that version. Wtc4ever (talk) 15:47, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

My second 8/1/14 update

This is the second of 2 updates I am making to the Skull Woods Region page. This is a merged version containing all the information of the Skull Woods (A Link Between Worlds, Forest) page combined with this Skull Woods Region page. If it's decided not to merge the 2 pages, please revert to the first/previous 8/1/14 update I made. Thanks. Wtc4ever (talk) 15:43, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

If it's decided to keep the Forest & Region pages merged, the links to the Skull Woods Dungeon page will need to be updated in the current version. Wtc4ever (talk) 15:47, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
