Yes, it will play. The Nintendo DS is region free, meaning that it will run a Nintendo DS game purchased anywhere in the world. This excludes China, since only a Chinese DS will correctly display Chinese characters.--Matt 02:58, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Japanese Name

Umm... I think that the Japanese name for this game is really, really wrong. Why? Because the Japanese on the page actually means: "Mogitate Metal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy". This is way, way beyond embarrassing. This must be fixed.User:Matt/sig 04:11, July 23, 2008 (UTC)

Essentially, "Tingle's" (Tingle's name in Japanese is Chinkuru, so technically it could also be translated as Tinkle. You see why that didn't happen).

ばら色

More or less, "Rose-colored".

ルッピーランド

"Ruppiirando". Rupeeland.

That's copied directly from the article and broken down. I've no idea where you got your Japanese from there, but the translation you gave was actually the title for the DS Fullmetal Alchemist game, only with "full" replaced with "mogitate". And I have no idea how you didn't understand me. I was quite clear about which Japanese I'm talking about. The Japanese right at the top of the page. I ran it through many translators and several, bu not all, give the same result.
This is what is on the page now:

Many translators that I tried tells me that that means:

Mogitate Metal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy

I think that this might be better:

もぎたてチンクルのばらいろルッピーランド

Which gives:

Mogitate Tingle no poker rose RUPPIRANDO

That is what I found on a several Japanese sites as an alternate name to the game. I'm not sure what is causing the first one to be that messed up when translating the whole thing an once. Just as you said, breaking it down gives completely different results. This is is why I hate Japanese, it is a horrible language. The characters of their writing system are difficult for anyone to read and write, you have to be an expert just to do it and as if every commoner is going to be one of those. And they don't like to make sentences. It is all jumbled together with no spaces. Taking away once character changes the entire meaning. The system is just ridiculously inefficient. I'm not saying this because it is a foreign language to me. I'm saying it because it is just bad, plain and simple. Could we just dump the Japanese name on this game? If it causes this much trouble, it is not worth keeping up.

Hold on here. After all this venting I did, I figured it out. Converting the text to Romanji gives "mogi tate chinkuru no barairo ruppiirando". We don't seem to give the fully translated version of the other games. Why this one? Since no translator seems to get it right. I think I have figured out why this is happening. The translators that do this are the ones that let you suggest a better translation. This means that there has been a coordinated effort to sabotage these translators by have many people all suggest the same wrong translation for a phrase. Wowwww. Dude, someone needs to calm down about Japanese. :P I love the language, and I think that it's actually a much simpler language than English, and I'm hardly an expert.
Anyway, yeah, I knew that you were talking about the Japanese on the article, I just wasn't sure HOW considering the absolutely bizarre result you were getting. I mean, it doesn't matter how much you screw up the language, "もぎたてチンクルのばら色ルッピーランド" is NEVER going to give you the title of the Fullmetal Alchemist game. :/

Uh, are you sure about that? (I need to add the Japanese to the other pages, speaking of which.)
I'm honestly not sure why you'd rather stick with just Romanji. Just because online translators (which are SERIOUSLY flawed; my translator gave me "Rose color [rutsupirando] of [gi] building [chinkuru" which basically mis-interpreted where the words were exactly) can't figure it out, doesn't mean that we can't. To be honest, I think that the Japanese is only "causing this much trouble" because you don't know the language. :/ The Japanese is there to be informative; it's not like we expect for every user here to know Japanese, which is why we also include the Romanji and a translation if the title itself differs from the English title (as is the case with the Oracles, Link's Crossbow Training, etc.).
Regarding the switching of the word ばら色 to ばらいろ: um, no? That's just plain incorrect. In Japanese, the kanji itself can drastically change the meaning of the word (as kana are quite often ambiguous; in fact, the correct word gives me "Rose color" in the translator; ばらいろ gives me "The rose be", which obviously is incorrect). Not to mention that the proper Japanese title of the game includes the kanji. User:Ando/sig 14:24, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
