The '''Strange Flute''' is an item found in both games of the ''[[Oracle Series|Oracle series]]''. Once attained, the flute is useless until later on in the game when it is identified by one of [[Link]]'s animal helpers as that helper's flute. The Strange Flute is a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Location and Uses

Once obtained, the flute is useless until later on when it is identified by one of Link's animal companions as that companion's flute. These animal companions include Ricky, Moosh, and Dimitri. After the flute has been identified, it can be used to summon that animal companion in most locations on the overworld, usually the areas they can travel in. There are three ways to obtain the Strange Flute in each game, and each way will cause a different companion to identify the flute as his own.

When Link gets one Strange Flute, the other Strange Flutes cannot be obtained. In a Linked Game, Link will have the same animal companion in his second adventure as he did in the first.
