In The Minish Cap, there is a store in the main square of Hyrule Town with a purple ghost as a sign. This is the place of Simon's Simulation, also known as The Mysterious-Dungeon Simulation Game, which gets its name from the Simon Figurine. In this mini-game, Link falls asleep, and awakens in a room where many different monsters spawn. This will happen repeatedly. When Link defeats all of them, a chest will appear in the middle of the room containing a prize. If Link dies in the Simulation, the Game Over Screen will appear. The cost for playing the game is 10 Rupees.

Simon's Simulations,[1] also known as the Dungeon-Simulation Game,[2] is a Mini-Game run by Simon in The Minish Cap.

Location

Located in Hyrule Town's central plaza, Simon will open his green, ghost-topped building to the public after Link has completed the Fortress of Winds.

Rules

After paying 10 Rupees to play,[3] Link will be instructed to fall asleep in the bed provided by the shop. The young hero will "awaken" to find himself in a square, Dungeon-like room filled with an assortment of monsters, including Moblins, Keatons, and Peahats.[4] Link must destroy all of the monsters in order to receive a Piece of Heart, as a reward. Despite it being a simulation, Link dies if he loses all his Hearts rather than waking up. Link may return to play the mini-game at any time during his quest; however, the prizes range from Rupees to Hearts after subsequent, successful playthroughs.[5]
