Template:Character Prince Sidon is a major character in Breath of the Wild.

Biography

The ever charming and always encouraging Sidon is the prince of the Zora, the son of King Dorephan and the brother of Mipha. He first encounters Link at Inogo Bridge while on his way to Zora's Domain. Prince Sidon requests Link come to his home in hopes of helping quell the rains caused by the Divine Beast Vah Ruta, which were threatening to burst the damns surrounding Zora's Domain. Should these break their homes would wash away and flood the lands below.

When Link approaches the throne room he is encountered by Muzu, an elderly Zora who remembers him from 100 years ago. Muzu insists that it is because of Link that Lady Mipha had died, stolen from her kingdom who loved her dearly, all because of Link. Prince Sidon then defends Link as the only one who can help his sisters spirit and save their home. When King Dorephan presents Link with the Zora Armor Muzu berates the King for gifting Link the Armor, as crafting Zora Armor is an act only a Zora Princess can do for her future husband, and he finds Link is unworthy of Mipha's hard work. He then proceeds to head to Mipha's statue in the town square to reminisce.

When Sidon, and Link while wearing the armor, approaches Muzu the Zora Prince comments on how the armor fits Link perfectly. And that even though he was too young to understand it at the time, Mipha had feelings for Link, hense why it fit him so perfectly. Sidons words resonate within Muzu, who agrees to help them take down Vah Ruta. The two learn where to get Shock Arrows, which are necessary for destroy Vah Rutas water supply flooding the area, from a nearby Lynel hideout.

After Link gathers about 20 Shock Arrows he meets up with Prince Sidon at the East Reservoir Lake where the Divine Best is stationed. Prince Sidon and Link battle the mechanism together, with Sidon swimming around the lake and Link firing Shock Arrows while riding his back. After destroying the sources of water on Vah Ruta's back, Sidon escorts Link to the boarding platform before it rises too high for Link to get on board.

After Link frees Miphas spirit, and take control of Vah Ruta from Calamity Ganon, Prince Sidon is there to greet Link and congratulate him on his victory when Link returns to Zora's Domain. Sidon thanks him for his hard work, before being praised by his father for his assistance in Vah Ruta's recovery. Sidon becomes a tad emotional, a moment of silence following his father claiming that Mipha would be proud of his actions, and that he will one day make a great King.

If Link should speak to Prince Sidon after this, the Zora will proclaim that he is both thankful and proud of Link for his assistance, and that he is lucky to have met the Hylian.
