Sanctuary (A Link Between Worlds)

The Sanctuary is a location in A Link Between Worlds.
Hyrule
The Sanctuary in Hyrule is located just north of Hyrule Castle and northeast from the Blacksmith. Link must travel to the Sanctuary in order to deliver the Captain's Sword to the Captain. The interior of the Sanctuary is accessible only via a secret passage located in the graveyard to the east of the Sanctuary[1], which Link must navigate since the doors are locked upon Yuga's entrance[2]. The secret passage contains the lamp[3], an item used to provide light in the passageway. Upon Link's arrival inside the Sanctuary, Yuga attacks the sage Seres, turning her into a painting. After Link attacks Yuga in an attempt to free Seres, he is knocked out and is not required to return to the Hyrule Sanctuary again unless he wishes to obtain the Master Ore in Lorule.
Lorule
In Lorule, the Sanctuary is replaced by a cave containing Master Ore. Since the Sanctuary is not reachable from other portals to Lorule, Link must use the crack located inside the Hyrulean Sanctuary to reach the cave in Lorule. In order to access the chest containing the Master Ore, Link must navigate a passage similar to the one found in Hyrule. At the end of the passage, Link enters the cave on a ledge and must merge on the cave wall to reach the ore. Once the ore has been obtained, Link can jump from the ledge and exit the cave without having to re-navigate the passageway.
