Sahasrahla's Grandson in the comic

In the A Link to the Past comic by Shotaro Ishinomori, Sahasrahla's Grandson is first introduced when Link, while running away from some guards in Kakariko Village, stumbles upon him, who was asked by Sahasrahla to watch over his wife.[5] After being convinced of Link's good nature,[6] the boy tells him where Saharsahla can be found, and so Link travels to the Eastern Palace. Later on, Link returns to Kakariko to find clues about the remaining two pendants,[7] but he finds the Library has been set on fire by soldiers.[8] The boy then informs Link that the Librarian is stuck inside the flames, and so Link rushes in to save him. With the librarian safe and the Book of Mudora in the hands of Link, the hero begins to make plans to travel to the Desert of Mystery and retrieve the Pendant of Power. Sahasrahla's Wife warns him of the fierce winds and shifting sand that have bested even the most capable adventurers.[9] Then, the boy remembers that Sahasrahla showed him a bird that Link can ride on, which is actually a sort of glider with the shape of wings woven by the Hylian Sages.[10] With the glider given to by the boy, Link is able to successfully travel to the desert and retrieve the second Pendant of Virtue.

After Link retrieves the Master Sword and begins to get ready to rescue Princess Zelda from Hyrule Castle,[11] he heads to Kakariko Village with his friends, but Sahasrahla's Grandson tells him that all approaches to the castle are blocked by Agahnim's soldiers.[12] The librarian then comes up with the idea of making a hot air balloon to carry him into the castle, and Sahasrahla's Grandson, Sahasrahla's wife, and the librarian begin to build it.[13] Later on in the Dark World, Link, via the Comfork, asks Sahasrahla and his grandson to go to the Light World location of the Swamp Palace to see if they can find any clues that will allow the young hero to go deeper into the palace, where the two only find a fountain. The boy, who is able to see Link in the water of the fountain, warns Link of the monsters behind him.[14] As the boy watches the battle between Link and the foes, he accidentally activates the statues that cause water to pour into the fountain, flooding the palace and granting Link further access into the palace.
