Template:Place Royal Family's Tomb is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.

Features and Overview

Ocarina of Time

The large headstone at the back of the Kakariko Village Graveyard conceals the entrance to the Royal Family's Tomb. It is flanked by two smaller headstones referencing the famous Composer Brothers of Kakariko Village. The entrance to the tomb can only be opened by playing "Zelda's Lullaby" in front of the headstone, proving a connection with the Royal Family.[1]

The inside of the tomb is infested with Keese and ReDeads, along with Poisoned Water. Located at the end is another tombstone inscribed with a poem written by the Composer Brothers.[2] Right below it is the secret melody of the deceased composers, the "Sun's Song."[3]

The Minish Cap

The Royal Tomb also makes an appearance in The Minish Cap as the Royal Crypt. It is filled with Ghini, and its only inhabitant is Dampé, the gravekeeper. It contains the tomb of King Gustaf.

Trivia

  • In Ocarina of Time, the entire Old Hylian syllabary is engraved on every stone slab in the tomb.
