Pincers are recurring worm-like enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1] These monsters make deep holes their homes, burrowing deeper and deeper into the abyss to hide themselves from unwary victims. When an enemy approaches, its eyes will glow near the top of the hole for a split second before lashing out at prey or intruder. Link was able to destroy this beast by slashing it with his sword after luring it out of its hole. These beasts were also found to exist in both Holodrum and Labrynna.
Characteristics
To defeat a Pincer, Link must simply avoid their attack, then slash them one or two times to finish them off. Avoiding their attacks can be a nusiance, as Link must walk right up to their hiding spot to lure them out. The Roc's Feather is a useful tool in dodging their sudden lunges.
