This article is a short summary of Philips CD-i.
NintendoWiki features a more in-depth article.

Philips CD-i is a term referring several game systems that were short-lived and ill-known. It stands for Compact Disc Interactive, was created by Royal Philips N. V. It played host to three Zelda games which are commonly referred to as the "Dark Triforce" of the Zelda games. They are non canon, and are very obscure. As most of its games, including Zelda and Super Mario ones, were failures, Philips quit making games for the system after 1998. Besides games, the system also played music and video CD's.
