Biography

When Hylia's Chosen Hero, Link, was imprisoned for four years, Orville tended his Sword.[1] Orville presents the blade to the Hero after he is asked to fight against the Demon King.[2][3][4] Link accepts and grasping the hands of Orville and his other allies, says the children of Hylia will fight together.[5] Orville observes as Link discusses the Hylian race's worth with the Crimson Loftwing.

Orville is not shown again until the castle begins to rise into the sky with the surviving Hylians.[6] The Goddess Hylia rents the earth below it and Link turns the Master Sword into a pillar between heaven and earth, the Crimson Loftwing guiding the castle skyward to safety.[7][8] Orville stretches his hand downward and cries out for Link to jump into the column of light caused by the Master Sword.[9] Link prays for the happiness of his comrades and despite wishing to take to the skies with them, his wounded body falls to the ground.[10] Before dying, Link says his spirit will always be with them.[11]
