They usually move around the room to hurt [[Link]]. Link must knock them with his sword and throw them into matching-color holes. When they are all in their holes, various things could happen such as a [[Treasure Chest|chest]] to appear or a door to open. Unlike the green and red ones, there is only one blue one in the whole Color Dungeon.

Orb Monsters are enemies in Link's Awakening DX.[1]

Characteristics

Orb Monsters are found exclusively in the Color Dungeon. After being hit with a Sword, they can be picked up by using the Power Bracelet. Link must throw the Orb Monsters into holes matching their respective colors and shapes.[note 1] When all of them are placed correctly, they vanish while spawning either a Treasure Chest or a Small Key.

Notes

  1. In Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, both Orb Monsters and their corresponding holes bear geometric shapes to assist with color blindness. This feature was not present in Link's Awakening DX. Yellow-colored Orb Monsters also replaced Green Orb Monsters to assist with red-green color blindness.
