Mount Tamaranch is a large mountain located in the center of Koholint Island, the setting of the game Link's Awakening. It is the largest mountain in the Tal Tal Mountain Range. It's most famous feature is a giant, red-spotted egg that sits on it's top and holds inside the Wind Fish. Link can go over to where the Wind Fish's Egg lays, but he can't actually awaken it without all the musical instruments. Marin is seen here later in the game, where it is revealed she had been singing. Also in the large mountain range are several dungeons such as the Eagle's Tower. There are also many caves in this range, obligating the young hero to visit this place many times during his quest.

The final Nightmare is fought upon Mount Tamaranch inside the Wind Fish's Egg.
