A creature of marsupial and vermin origin, the Megmat (メグマット, Megumatto) attempts to lunge into prey by hopping along the ground at a fast pace. It is seen by Link in The Adventure of Link when he journeys Hyrule in his quest to wake the slumbering Zelda. The Megmat has a light blue pelt and tail, and can be found in a variety of climates, including but not limited to: grasslands, caves, and deserts. Due to its small form and lack of any natural armor, the Megmat can easily be killed with weapons such as a sword.
