Can we get the Search Box back to it's low-resolution friendly spot? Just move the line that says "* SEARCH" to the top o the page. I'd do it, but I can't edit protected pages, now can I? ;) User:Seablue254/sig 12:54, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Uh, why? You'd have to be running 800 x 600 in order to still not see it. Where we have it right now IS the low-resolution-friendly spot. The only reason it was at the top before was because we couldn't put it in the middle. Now we can. I personally think it looks pretty nasty at the top, hence I prefer the in-between setup (pretty sure Matt does as well).

You... you're not running 800 x 600, are you? User:Ando/sig 15:26, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I didn't like it at the very top either. It looked too weird. We can move to a spot in between the navigation box and the community box though. I'd like that better and that should be visible in 800×600 resolution.User:Mjr162006/sig 16:42, September 2, 2008 (UTC)
Eh, I think I might be able to handle that. Cool with you, Sea? User:Ando/sig 17:21, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to keep the community links above the search box, please. They're important and it's imperative that users can get to 'em easily. However, Wikipedia's community links aren't above their search box, so if you guys really want to move it up, I won't fight it. I have too much homework anyway :B. --GoldenChaos 01:20, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I just wanted it back where it was. IS THAT SUCH A BAD THING! :( User:Seablue254/sig 21:30, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes? I think it looks terrible there (and I think it looks terrible in-between navigation and community, but less-terrible). Matt also didn't like it. I'm pretty sure that Jason very wouldn't like it, from what he's said. So... where are we moving this puppy, if at all? I'd prefer not to but will settle for in-between nav + community. Also, Sea, question marks come after questions, man! :P

Then explain why YOU and Jase moved it before. User:Seablue254/sig 20:44, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Before it was below the "Masterminds" box, making it un-seeable even on a 1024 x 768 resolution. The Wiki software wouldn't allow us to put it where it is now, however, so the top was the only other option. However, with the upgrade to the new version of the Wiki software, moving it in-between is now possible, so it was decided that it would be put where we were originally wanting it to go anyway, which is right there.
