The Mayaumekis Shrine,[1] designated by the trial name Downward Force,[1] is a Shrine of Light in Tears of the Kingdom.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Mayaumekis Shrine is situated on the lower part of the Rising Island Chain in the Hebra Mountains Sky.[2]

The entrance to the Shrine opens to a gate with a portcullis. On the opposite side of this gate, there is a single-use Shock Switch that will release the portcullis when struck. Beyond this gate, there is a gigantic chamber with an abyss at its bottom. This chamber is filled with several platforms and Flying Ships. The first Flying Ship sits above a flight of stairs over the abyss. When Link jumps on its sail, it will propel him into the air where there is another platform overlooking a second Flying Ship. In order to advance, Link must Paraglide from this Flying Ship onto another one that moves in circles over the abyss.

There are two paths that can be taken from the Flying Ship that moves in circles. Link can Paraglide onto a ledge to the left in order to reach a Stone Chest. To advance further in the Shrine, Link must platform the ledge to the right, however. Three Flying Ships float near this platform. Two sit beneath a cage that sits in the air near this platform, while another sits just beside the platform and will propel Link through the air beside the cage. Inside this cage, there is another single-use Shock Switch that will release the portcullises at the bottom of the cage, allowing Link to jump from the Flying Ship beneath it and reach the end of the Shrine.

A Statue of Rauru and Sonia can be found at the end of the Mayaumekis Shrine. By interacting with the Terminal in front of the Statue, Link can receive a Light of Blessing to cleanse the corruption of Darkness from within him.[3][4]
