Template:Place Malo Mart is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series. Its flagship store, located in Kakariko Village, is owned and operated by Malo.

Features and Overview

Malo Mart is originally a run-down shop in Kakariko Village known as Kakariko Goods. When Malo finds it, he decides to reopen the shop as his own.[1] Although he can be a bit rude,[2] he likes to keep his prices low and serve his customers well, hoping to be a financial "hero."[3] Malo Mart is the only place where Link can purchase the Hawkeye and the Hylian Shield.

Later on, Malo Mart starts accepting donations to take over Celeeb and thus stop the "corrupt, price-gouging shops" in Castle Town.[4] To do so, the Malo Mart Management must first fix the bridge connecting east Castle Town to Hyrule Field, which can only be done if Link donates 1,000 Rupees. After he delivers the Hot Spring Water to the Goron near the east Castle Town entrance, Link must then donate another 2,000 Rupees to open the Castle Branch.

Afterwards, the Malo Mart Castle Branch opens up in Hyrule Castle Town, which is run by a now much more cheerful Chudley.
