Did you know that you can make your own user biography by going into the Userlist, clicking on your username, and editing it to fit your biography? It would serve the same function as making an article about yourself.

Add Information, help build the ZU Wiki!

You can add a new article by replacing the text "Main_Page" in the URL of this page with the name of the page you want to create. You can also type in a term in the Search box that has no article yet written, which would do the same as replacing the URL. From there, just click the "edit" tab and begin adding to the ZUWiki database!

About ZUWiki Categories

For now, five categories exist: a Zelda category (Category:Zelda), a Community category for anything pertaining to the forums or chat room, or about users on ZU (Category:Community), and finally a miscellaneous category (Category:Misc) for anything else. Recently created categories include Zelda Sites (Category:Zelda Sites) for posting information about other Zelda sites, and Nintendo (Category:Nintendo) for anything relating to Nintendo that does not relate to Zelda.

To specify a category for your article, use the following tag: [[Category:CategoryName]]

Please note that we require the entries in the "Zelda", "Nintendo" and "Zelda Sites" categories to be of a more serious and informative nature as opposed to "Community" and "Misc" categories, which are more for fun than anything else. Keep this in mind when adding articles.

Uploading files to the Wiki

When you go to any place on the ZUWiki, you will always see the left menu Toolbox. Under the toolbox, there is an option to upload a file, conveniently titled "Upload file." Alternatively, follow this link here.

When you reach the page, click the Browse button and select the file you wish to upload. If you feel you want to, you can add a summary or short description of the file. When you are ready, click the "Upload file" button.

The preferred formats are JPEG for photographic images, PNG for drawings and other iconic images, and OGG for sounds. Please name your files descriptively to avoid confusion. To include the image in a page, use a link in the form

[[Image:file.jpg]] or
[[Image:file.png|alt text]] or
[[Media:file.ogg]] for sounds.

If you wish to align an image to the left or right of the text, use:

[[Image:file.jpg|left]]

or if you wish to add text and make it a thumbnail

[[Image:file.jpg|left|thumb|10px|Text Here]]
where you replace 10 with the size you want the image to be within the article.

Please note that as with wiki pages, others may edit or delete your uploads if they think it serves the project, and you may be blocked from uploading if you abuse the system.
