Link's physical appearance depends upon the situation of small pigs captured and brought to Rosa. Specific coloring follows standards of precedence. Regardless of small pigs captured, Link retains the color of the pig with the highest rank. The color ranking system goes as follows: black, pink, spotted, default black. If [[Link]] desires a spotted pig, the small spotted pig must be captured exclusively. Pink coloring appears if the pink pig is captured, regardless of the current state of the spotted pig, under the condition that the black pig is not captured. Due to black being the default color, Link will remain ebony if the color is not altered by capturing other pigs, or if the black pig is captured. Link can use the ample pig to dig in dark patches of dirt to unearth a [[Piece of Heart]]. To do so, Link must use [[All-Purpose Bait]] to lure the pig, and the [[Power Bracelet]] to lift it due to its excessive body weight. Akin to other pigs, Link will get angry if sliced with a sword. However, Link will deal three hearts of damage rather than one due to its massive size.

Biography

Link is Abe and Rose's pet Pig.[1] The hero Link can catch a wild Pig for them before departing Outset Island, receiving a Red Rupee in exchange.[2] When the hero comes back to the island, the Pig will have grown. The color of the grown Link will depend on the color of the Pig originally caught. If no Pig was caught, Link will then be black.

If Link is lifted with the Power Bracelet and taken to the black soil facing Mesa's house, he will dig a Piece of Heart if fed with All-Purpose Bait. If attacked enough times, Link will attack the hero, dealing three Hearts of damage.
