Lakitu
Lakitus are characters and enemies that originate from the Super Mario Bros. series. However, these enemies make a cameo appearance in The Minish Cap.
Appearances
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, Lakitus appear in the Cloud Tops, where they will throw lightning bolts at Link. The young hero must use ranged weapons to defeat or incapacitate them. Such items consist of the boomerang, the bow, the Cane of Pacci or the Gust Jar. Their appearance is slightly different than from other appearances from the Super Mario Bros. franchise. They appear on clouds that have a lighter pink color. Unlike other Lakitus, they can send spherical lighting bolts towards Link when he is near them. However, if Link is too close to the Lakitu, it will hide in it's cloud until Link walks farther away.

Non-canon Appearances
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Lakitus appear as assist trophies. Their appearance is the same one used in Super Mario Bros. and they attack by throwing Spinies at players.
