Karat Crabs are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Characteristics

A Link Between Worlds

Karat Crabs are the Lorulean counterparts of Sand Crabs in A Link Between Worlds. They have darker coloring and deal four times more damage than Sand Crabs. Karat Crabs move slowly in vertical directions, but will dash horizontally at high speeds. One of their claws is much larger than the other. They are found primarily in the Southern Ruins surrounding the Swamp Palace and around Lorule Lake.

Tri Force Heroes

Karat Crabs appear in The Dunes and the Desert Zone of the Den of Trials in Tri Force Heroes. They can be found hiding underneath moving Sand Mounds, which can be blown away with the Gust Jar.
