Jakamar is a character that appears in Skyward Sword. He is a repairman who keeps many of the structures in Skyloft in shape. He is found on the eastern side of Skyloft near two windmills for most of the game, however in the very beginning, you can find him repairing the gate that separates the Statue of the Goddess, the Knight Academy, and the Sparring Hall from the rest of Skyloft. He is essential to Link's quest as he repairs a broken windmill that allows the Light Tower to show Link where he may proceed in his quest.
Etymology
Jakamar's name is likely derived from the jacamar bird. It also sounds similar to jack-hammer.
