Development

On June 10th, 2015, a Japanese trailer for the 3DS version was accidentally leaked to YouTube on Koei Tecmo's official Japanese channel, due to being marked as unlisted rather than private, revealing the game before the intended announcement at E3. Though the mistake was quickly corrected, the video had already spread throughout the internet including various gaming news sources. The leak had revealed various new additions in the port, including the ability to swap active Warriors mid-battle, as well as reveal the two new characters, Tetra and Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule. The trailer also showed there would be a way to unlock both characters in the Wii U version with the purchase of the 3DS one. In addition, near the end of the trailer a cross bow matching the design of the one used by the unused Linkle can be see. It is unknown if it belongs to her or is a hint of a new weapon for an existing character.
