Hightail Lizards are common creatures, and can be encountered in warm and temperate areas throughout Hyrule.[1] They can be found basking on trees or rocks, and can also be startled out of hiding when grass is cut. They often take a moment to register Link's presence, but flee quickly once they do.[1]
Hightail Lizards can be combined with Monster Parts in a Cooking Pot to make a Hasty Elixir, which will temporarily increase Link's speed when consumed.[1] The Kochi Dye Shop will also accept them as ingredients for Brown Dye. Five Hightail Lizards and five Electric Keese Wings are needed to upgrade each piece of the Climbing Set to its second tier at a Great Fairy Fountain.
